Riding in Mexico is a wonderful experience especially when you ride with a local #veloguide who has insider knowledge. Any apprehension will quickly disappear as you head on a beautiful and quiet ride east of Bucerias. You will ride for a 40kms round trip and stop whenever necessary. This ride includes small snacks and water along the way. There is a 2 hour time limit so the kms may be cut back a bit. Depending on the speed of the group, we sometimes add a stop in San Jose de Valle which will add a bit of distance. Your VeloGuide(s) will give support to all levels of riders and you will see a part of the Mexican countryside you haven't seen before. Beautiful farms, quaint towns, and amazing riding.

Wow! That is the word that sums up our experience yesterday. I rarely (as in almost never) bother to write reviews but this time I thought I should. We have been coming to this area of Mexico since 2015 and previously have been loyal "Estigo" customers. But since we were staying up in the Bucerias area we decided to give these folks a try. First the actual ride was definitely superior and also without having to play dodge ball with drivers in downtown Puerto Vallarta (which as a father watching my kids in that traffic with cars dodging in and out always made me anxious). But I also let them know ahead of time that my daughter has some immune system issues and therefore had concerns about COVID. Well they took supporting her seriously - from sending a very sanitary van right to our front door, ensuring no one else was on the van the whole trip to the ranch, ensuring that the driver was going to be the same person that gave us the actual tour, hand sanitizer getting both into the van and out of the van when we reached the destination, always wearing their masks properly with noses covered. But they did not stop there. They set aside our own section of the restaurant and sanitized everything down in that area and made sure we were the only ones there. When we got to the ATV machines they were new and in great shape and they had a treat of hibiscus water and pineapple set aside for us on our own plates and table before we got on the ride. The actual ride was just myself, my daughter and the guide to make sure that we avoided all COVID risks. I mean these folks completely went out of their way for us. The ride itself was awesome. When the ride was done (and no stops at places to try to sell us stuff) we got back for lunch. We had low expectations to be honest because normally on a tour you get "meh" but the meal was actually amazing here and as good as anything I have had in Bucerias itself. Best shrimp fajitas I have had in years. Honestly. With actually a lot of shrimp. Plus all the accompaniments freshly made. We both are lactose intolerant so the chef made sure to accommodate us and even made us dairy free cupcakes. Everything was super fresh even the hand ground garlic in olive oil that he used on the shrimp. We are going back for the horse ride and they wanted to know what we wanted them to make for the meal. This place was amazing and the level of customer service is such a big deal these days. I would highly recommend these folks to anyone and that does not come lightly. These folks earned me as a loyal customer from here forward.

This is always one of the highlights of my trip and I really missed it last year during COVID. What Elly and her team do through this program is exceptional! They have found ways to stay safe in the pandemic and continue to support their artisan partners. Please review their website and get to know the artisans who soon will be offering their goods through an e-commerce store. The artisans are so hospitable and share their stories so well. They are so willing to answer questions and tell us about their lives and work. It is so special to be able to purchase directly from the person who made it!

Tour begins with a walking guided tour around the Broadwalk of Puerto Vallarta. Where you will learn all about the culture and history of this enigmatic city. I'm so glad we didn't come and go from beautiful Puerto Vallarta without joining in on this experience. We'd been seeing the fireworks every night from wherever we were on the boardwalk or hotel, and could see the lit up boat throughout it's sail and didn't think much of it. Then we got an opportunity to do it on one of our free nights. Again. So glad we did. The crew had an energy that just drew you in. Their commitment to the character they were in was exceedingly impressive. And the crowd participation was very necessary and very effective as most people there, like me, may not have had all that energy on their own - which is a must to truly enjoy your night. Get in to it. We were fortunate to be a part of the show as my wife was brought up to play along with a couple other ladies during a particular fun segment. That eventually brought their mates up, so up I went too. It was a blast. Perhaps we enjoyed it so much because we were drawn in directly, but still, I got the impression that the whole boat was rocking to the beat of this upbeat (and some beat up but I won't give too much away) crew. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and I also really enjoyed the food. If you're expecting the plate itself to be worth the price of adminssion, you are mistaken. The crew and their well-performed show, while out on a cruise with amazing views is what the price of admission paid for. The food was great nonetheless; but it's an overall package deal that is well worth the price and then some. And by then some i mean: please hook this crew up as best you can. Bring cash and add it to their booty. They will have earned it!
