Dedicated in September 1995, the Chateau is surrounded by biodynamic and organic vineyards. Proprietors Tom and Anne-Marie Hedges have created a beautiful destination, to showcase the Estate's world class wines. Hedges Family Estate is nestled in the heart of the Red Mountain American Viticultural Area. Red Mountain AVA is a Wine Enthusiast 2014 Wine Star Award nominee, Wine Region category. We are open Wednesday through Sunday from 11am to 5pm from April through November and then change to our winter hours which are from Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 5pm. Walk in tasters are welcome. Groups of 6 or more are asked to call ahead for a reservation. See you on Red Mountain.

My wife and I love to take people here. It is such a great winery to visit. Such a great facility and the people there are always so friendly and amazing. We went there on our anniversary just to sit out back and have a bottle of wine, while viewing the valley!

Johnson's Orchards

They always seem to have the best selection of local fruit and vegetables that are in season. We have never been disappointed. They always seem to have fresh coked pies available as well. We stop by whenever we are near by.

The teapot Dome Gas Station

Reviewed By sharonfN4418HG - Poulsbo, United States

You can visit any day, but the building is only open Saturdays from 10 to 4. Fun souvenirs are available as well as postcards (for those who still know what those are). A reminder that government scandals can happen in any administration.

We have come here several times for their different "festivals". They will have an opportunity for U-pick fruit, depending on what is in season during their festivals. They offer hay rides, horseback rides, fresh, hot donuts, cider and a wonderful barn full of local-themed decor and other items. My girls and I enjoy the hay ride around the grounds and the petting zoo, too. If you are visiting the Yakima or Lower Valley in summer or fall, don't miss this fun and adorable opportunity.

Toppenish Murals

Reviewed By KweqSmanit - Seattle, United States

Toppenish has many murals located in town and some are newer and brighter whereas others are older and more faded but all are very nice and interesting to look at from both a historical sense and as well an artistic sense. Most deal with the town and its past and its history and indians and frontier days, local historical figures, the fruit growing industry of the area and so on.But all are interesting or worth viewing. Something that I found interesting is that there are no public tax dollars used to place any murals up in the town. They are all done through private donations and private citizens support.

Yakima Area Arboretum & Botanical Garden

Reviewed By CATXWASteveG - Yakima, United States

Always beautiful, and a great outdoor activity. Now that the fall colors are turning, this place is probably at its best. Explore the grounds, and look for the one connecting point to the Greenway paved walking path. Leave plenty of time and explore that as well while you're here. This review will fade as other, newer, reviews take its place, but if you end up coming here and agree, do us all a favor and add a nice rating and some nice words to say (and remember what your Mom always said, "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything"). Great to see quality things to do thrive in Yakima.
