Synagogue of Tg. Mures

Reviewed By Mike_TLV - Tel Aviv, Israel

This uniquely ornate and very beautiful synagogue stands in a city where there is no longer a Jewish community. This is a must visit place to learn about the glorious and tragic history of the Jewish community of the city. The entrance is not in front of the Synagogue but through a gate to the right of the Synagogue gate. It's better to book a visit by phone (5 LEI entry donation). 4 min walk from Palace of Culture.

Targu Mures City Hall

Reviewed By florentinadriang - Arad, Romania

Even if it is erroneously registered, as "Târgu Mureș City Hall", the building is impressive. Indeed, the old town hall functioned here (from the beginning of the 20th century until 1965), but now it is the headquarters of the Prefecture and the County Council. The tower in the right corner is 55 meters high, and if you are lucky enough to visit it, you will have the most spectacular image of the city seen from above. I recommend you see the building in the evening, when the roof is lit, sequentially, in four colors. Very nice!
