Wat Mongkolratanaram Buddhist Temple

Reviewed By Ashimyer

We came to visit the temple for the first time in October 2020. We arrived at 9:30 and all the food was ready to purchase but there was no line. Because of covid they have changed the way you order. Park near the Buddha and walk to the right around the building. It was very quick and efficient. You walk up to a lady at a booth and they have a paper sign with what you can order and prices. You pay her cash then step back and wait for them to call your name. We ordered 1$ Thai iced tea, pad Thai, pho soup, amazing fried rice. Fried chicken set which came with wok fried chicken, papaya salad and plain sticky rice. And 1 pork satay on a stick. We walked around the area where they were cooking and observed the different methods. People were kind and spoke to us. When we went to visit the statuary and person from the community was so friendly and answered any questions we had. So beautiful. Such a unique vibe. The monks come out and get food for the week from the community around 11 and do alms and songs.

My family spent the afternoon strolling around Harbor Walk Village! Plenty to do for the whole family! Nobody enforcing mask mandates so we could actually walk around and breath in fresh oxygen and smell the salty beach air! As a matter of fact ,we didn't wear a mask the entire time we were in Florida!
