San Diego embodies laid-back California culture, complete with a Boardwalk, surfing communities, and outstanding Mexican food. Breathe in the fresh ocean air at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, then gobble down a fresh fish taco at a La Jolla seafood joint. I stumbled upon this place when browsing through Old Town. This is a very cute little candle and soap shop. You can color your own candles here as a gift, and I did one for my mom as a gift. The staff was friendly and informative. I would return!

Miner's Gems and Minerals

Reviewed By Nana211 - Morongo Valley, United States

They put colored "gems" and "gold" into it and the children get to pan for gold and gems. It's really fun. And they really get a lot of treasure. You can not see the gems at first, but as they pan in the stream the dirt washes out and reveal the gems. They found 20+ purses each. Only 5.00 well worth it. Will go again for sure.

Plaza del Pasado

Plaza del Pasado in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park brings San Diego's early history to life. The four-acre plaza sits at the center of San Diego's original Mexican pueblo, founded in 1821, which eventually grew into a bustling American town. Strolling storytellers in period costume, live Mariachi bands singing crowd-pleasing rendition of "Oye Como Va" by Santana, local artisans demonstrating glass blowing, shopping, and restaurants inspired by 19th century San Diego life.
