I went to the mall recently to pick up my daughter's wedding gown from alterations at Nordstrom's. We got here before the stores were open, so had kind of a brunch at Panera in the food court. The food court has a variety of appealing places to select food from, and the seating has been appropriately socially distanced. ( The restroom sinks have also been socially distanced. ) I like shopping at Nordstroms, and at Macy's because it always has lots of shoes on sale. My one bone of contention is the parking. You can buy something here and get your parking ticket validated, but it is difficult (especially on a crowded day) to get back to your car and get out of the mall before you owe money. They don't give you much time to do that before they charge you a dollar. I realize that some people do use this mall to park and go other places because the parking is affordable compared to alternate parking spaces. I have actually done it myself, but, in those cases, I had no qualms about paying for the hour or so that I parked there without going into the mall. However, if I have come to the mall to shop, bought something (in most cases, more than one something) and got my ticket validated, I don't want to have to pay to park. Just sayin'. . . They need to give you more time to get to your car or just admit their parking is not free anymore. Don't get your ticket validated unless you are positive that you are not going to stop anywhere else and RACE to your car.
