Our hotel recommended this place because it was nearby, 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. It was a local place off the beaten path that served pizza and regular dinners. Food and service were excellent. Grilled octopus was great. Wine selection good and reasonable prices. Manager was very accommodating and spoke English pretty well.

We had two different pizzas and a salad. All were excellent. The pizza in Italy is different than what we are used to here. Most pizzas here are tomato sauce based. In Italy, you will struggle to find a pizza with strictly a tomato sauce base, but the pizzas are really good, regardless.

My husband and I was recommended this restaurant and we was not disappointed. From the moment we walked into the restaurant it was an amazing dining experience. We was greeted by a lovely lady who apoligised about her English not being very good. We understood everything she said. Then chef and owner Gian came and greeted us. The food was amazing. I cannot rate this restaurant enough..Gian must have spent a lot of time, money and thought over how he wanted to portray this restaurant, with really good acoustic music to the ambiance.Well done Gian

Heard great things about this restaurant from friends. Lived up to reputation and then some!Restaurant is split in two kitchens. Italian cuisine and seafood or pizza.We went for the pizza tasting menu at â¬19 each. Four courses of all things pizza. From a delicate pizza twist to start, with mozzarella and pomodorini, through main course pizza, finishing with three sweet pizza dough dessert.All different. All beautifully cooked and interesting. Loved it all, especially the dessert. Never had sweet pizza before.All washed down with house wine at â¬4 a glass. Smooth red, refreshing white and huge glasses!A great meal. Next time we'll try the Italian cuisine. Fab!

Visited this restaurant based on the reviews here on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. Itâs a little bit off the beaten track, but offers fabulous food with friendly, attentive service. We booked through Tripadvisor and by eating unfashionably early at 19.30 saved ourselves 20%. A comfortably-sized restaurant; not big enough for busloads of cruise excursions, but just the right size for the chef to accommodate.We found this restaurant mid-afternoon, for a very late lunch after visiting Herculaneum. We were very hungry, everything was closed. For some reason I thought this was a sandwich shop so I went in to buy a few sandwiches. The chef, (although I didn't recognize him as such at the time) was eating his own meal. He graciously took care of us. I was struck by the menu. Many traditional dishes...although things I hadn't seen in the previous almost three weeks of my trip in Italy. The zucca and fagioli was delicious, so was the bruschetta, our pastas very tasty. (Green AND black olives in the puttanesca!) The next night we decided to try some place else for dinner, and after strolling the length of the street and not finding anything that looked as good-- cavernous places where a barker stood outside to entice diners with "We have pizza and pasta!" we returned to Stuzzico by Lucius. The zucca and fagioli didn't disappoint the second time; steaks and the evening's special -- a tuna steak -- were delightful. The tuna steak might be the most delicious I have ever eaten. The chef has a strong sense of what he wants his restaurant to be, yet he also wants to satisfy his diners. This can be a difficult balance yet he succeeded very well.Recommendation: Tiramisu and Limoncello. (You'll thank me later.)

Fabulous food, atmosphere and service but I did not feel respected as a patron holding a 7:30 reservation on a Sunday evening. We arrived to a dark, shuttered restaurant and would have left had not another couple arrived and said they had experienced this previously. A group of a dozen patrons had gathered by 8:15 when the doors finally opened. It was a cool evening and by the time we were admitted I was quite cold having waited 45 minutes for opening. If the establishment does not care to serve guests before 8:15 that is their privilege, but why accept reservations for earlier and keep diners shut out? An unfortunate start to an otherwise delightful evening. My advice: donât book an early table but do book.

What an amazing find. Honestly the best meal in Pompei the food was amazing and the level of service from Andreas was complete perfection.The wine was delicious and the care and attention to detail with all of the food was outstanding. Watching the chef prepare each course with fantastic ingredients was a real treat. Everyone here cares about the quality of the food and we were treated like absolute royalty. The food was also the most delicious we experienced during our time in Pompei with everything being freshly prepared.10/10Thank you so much to all the team xxx

What a incredible restaurant Garum is !! The whole experience was outstanding, the food is very tasty, we had octopus carpaccio with roasted nuts and shrimp with mozzarella as antipasti. The ingredients are simple and fresh and yet the chef created little magic ! We chose to share the primi piatti of the day, it was ravioli with basilicum and a cheese of which I do not remember the name, again delicious. My boyfriend and myself took each a secondari piatti, meat for him and plate of the day for me, it was sea bass. We were amazed and impressed once again. Finally the waiter, a very kind man, understood the discovery mood we were in and proposed us to choose the desserts for us. He came back with desserts made by a bakery from Pompeii (Gabbiano), we had a big âRocherâ and âmousse de cafeâ, what a delight for the sweet tooth and non-sweet tooth. My boyfriend being not a dessert person, asked a third dessert. The wine card is very big and diverse, we both had the wine of the house - white & red - according to the course. Finally, the service was perfect, we had one kind man taking care of our table from our arrival. He was very thoughtful and professional. Thank you Garum for the exceptional experience !
