Recommended the hamburger, I visited this restaurant often and the last time the hamburger received was "cold", the waiter said that will replace but he did was to "reheat" the one received and the bread was broken and missed parts. Really disappointed for the good service received in past visits, but this time was really bad. I did not want to complain due to the time and the company because was dining with my wife.The service was not good, this is the true. We´re really sorry for your bad experience, For Leño y Carbón, customer satisfaction is the main thing, and that is why we ask for the most sincere apologies, sometimes situations happen that get out of hand, but our effort is that each customer and each service, is of the best quality. If possible, we would like you to make amends for your next visit, if you would be so kind as to give us another opportunity.

One of my recurrent stops in the Escazu area. I love sitting on the porch and look at the city below, the church to the right. Perfect spot for having a beer and a "boca". Good menu, lots of typical food options, very reasonable prices, good service. Very family friendly.It can get pretty full on the weekends.

I was hungry for some Chinese food for lunch and talked around and found this gem. I was alone in the restaurant but then again it was only 11:30 in the morning. After I got there, I ordered some Chinese fried rice with meats. Excellent choice. Tasted just like authentic Chinese food. Fried rice was fresh and it even had some shrimp in it besides chicken, ham, etc. Good food, attentive service and reasonable prices.

This is one of the innumerable street-side eateries catering mostly to the blue-collar trade. Portions tend to be generous, plain, and cheap, with the bar probably providing most of their income. We had casados, a standard luncheon item through out the country, which were ok.

This restaurant was recommended by our Airbnb host who lives nearby. Local family-friendly establishment where several servers spoke English. All were very friendly. Ceviche was good, and they made the kids fun virgin club soda with salt on the rims. Reasonable prices and a festive atmosphere.

This delightful Peruvian Restaurant inside the Marriott Hotel was our favorite place for dinner; and it reminded us of the places we have visited in Peru! Charming rustic decor and atmosphere. All of the steak, chicken and seafood entrees our family tried were superb! The bread was fresh and delicious. House wines were very good. Wait staff was very attentive.

We were greeted as we entered, and the amiable service continued throughout the meal. Tried a new shellfish, cuchibana, in ceviche, which was delicious. Mussels, sort of. Followed by sea bass covered with shellfish. All for $60.00 for two, including drinks. Pura vida.
