This place is horribly overpriced for the quality of ingredients and poor preparation of same. I got the worst steak I've had in South America, and the sweet potatoes were glazed with some kind of super sweet something that combined with the flavor of the potatoes made them sickly sweet and inedible. Plus they charge 140 peso (per person) cover for bread, that was one stale papadum and three slices of various breads. So you charged me $10 US for two people to split 4 pieces of mediocre bread, ruined my steak by charring the outside to a burnt lump, and made my vegetable into a dessert. This is more money than we've spent on a meal than any other place in 7 months in South America, and I am sad to say out was not even in the top 10 meals we've had, most for a quarter of the cost.Dear Millet02,Thank you very much for visiting I'marangatú. We have stayed in Punta a number of times but this is the first time we have been to this restaurant. And it will not be the last! A great find. The menu offers a good choice and there is something to suit all tastes and moods. Clearly a very skilled Peruvian chef and we tried both the ceviche and the tiradito which were excellent. In fact all three courses we each had were delicious with the exception of the Thai chicken which was just âokâ, but I blame myself for ordering something which clearly was not a speciality in an Uruguayan restaurant with a Peruvian chef! Very friendly and efficient service. Definitely recommended. DearThank you for your comment. Fuimos hace un mes. Nos encontramos con una cocina de altÃsimo nivel en un ambiente pequeño y muy acogedor. Utilizando ingredientes autóctonos, ofrecen platos deliciosos a precios más que razonables.Cebiche, Bondiola salseada con papas rusticas, y una tarta de chocolate realmente extraordinaria. Olafâs was a wonderful surprise. After enjoying a marvelous sunset on th beach; we went to Olafâsâ for cocktails and tapas. There was a talented guitarist playing in the corner, the service was fast and friendly, the tapas were beautifully if simply prepared and delicious. Suddenly the skyâs opened up to a torrential downpour; we were cozily ensconced after plastic sheets were secured to protect us from the wind and rain; we stayed and enjoyed until there was a break in the storm feeling very much at home and welcome.

Lugar de gente bonita e descolada, este local é mágico.!!Tem de chegar uma meia hora antes do por do sol, e poderá desfrutar de uma vista maravilhosa do astro rei se pondo, ouvindo uma excepcional musica ao vivo, e saboreando drinks perfeitos acompanhados de deliciosos aperitivos regionais.Assim é o Sunset Café.Preços super justos para o que oferece.Ahh, e depois de terminado o espetáculo do por do sol, inicia-se uma balada super bacana que vai até meia noite.Ir a Punta e curtir o por do sol neste lugar é simplesmente maravilhoso e com certeza, marcará tua viagem.Recomando !!!

Destacar la decoración y el lindo ambiente es lo primero que recuerdo de nuestra cena.Cálido lugar que goza de muy buen gusto y de fácil acceso.El servicio es esmerado. Los baños super limpios al igual que el resto del local.La comida es rica (nada deslumbrante) y de platos generosos.Los precios están de acuerdo al balneario.

We went for lunch outside facing the beach. The lenguado fish was very well prepared and the rocket salad incredible. Caramelized brie and chicken with vegetables cooked in a wok was the plates my friends chose and they were very satisfied. Pudding was a typical Uruguayan desert called Massini which is like a cold cake which is excellent.

The place is located at a spectacular spot. Right on the water with a beautiful swimming pool. The cocktails are nice and drinks are good. However, the service is absolutely horrible! The staff are incompetent and very rude and unhelpful. The food tasted absolutely horrible and still extremely expensive!Overall a bad experience.
