The capital city of the Bahamas boasts miles of spectacular beaches and stretches of vivid coral reefs perfect for snorkeling. Shop, dine, and sightsee, particularly along busy Bay Street, or if you're a James Bond fan, visit the British Colonial Hotel, which was used as a filming location for two of the Sean Connery-era movies. I was really hungry so I ordered the Asian wings, veggie fried rice and pork bao. All were great. My husband ordered grilled octopus and he loved it. My parents had the black cod and the salmon. Both were delicious. The Chardonnay was great aswell. The guys working there were very attentive. Great service. We will definitely be back.

We found Exagon on a recommendation from a local diver who promised us a great place to eat dinner. He was right! The food was great in a casual atmosphere near the water. Two-for-one drink specials were a bonus and the drinks were great. We loved the food and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would return on our next trip to Nassau!

Strolling along, Dali's seemed to call us in for a drink. Suzette, the bartender was fantastic, explaining her drink specials and beer choices. She was attentive and cheerful. None of us were ready for lunch but her descriptions of the food offered had our mouths watering. We went back a few hours later and were blown away by the items we ordered. The Conch Burger was hot, crisp and perfectly seasoned. The Pescaito Frito (seafood platter) was fried to perfection. Pollo al Ajillo / Chicken Thighs Garlicky had a hint of Marsala. The Tomato Salad was served with the best Balsamic Vinegar I have ever tasted. It would be worth a trip back to Nassau just to have another meal with them!Dear Laura T,We thank you very much for taking time to write about your visit to our restaurant. And we are happy to read that youliked our food and service. Wishing you a great summer, kind regards,Chef Werner and his DALI team

We decided to come here due to the encouraging reviews we found here on tripadvisor. We left this place on our last day in Nassau before flying back home on the next day!The place is beautifully decorated in pure caribbean style which is a plus.As we arrived we were accommodated in the lounge bar where it was supposed to be the live music, sadly the musician arrived when we were almost ready to go to our table escorted by an unfriendly asian hostess that at the moment of seating us was joking and laughing with one of the waiters who was playing the drum...The menu comes with a lot of dishes that seem tasty.Soup and a Caesar salad were good even if for the Caesar I would comment the flavor of anchovy was completely absent... maybe the waiter forgot to put anchovy in it? Beside that it was great and fresh! The main course was not up to our expectations as mine was fine but my bf one arrived cold and lacked of the unique taste we expected. The wine required over 10 minutes to be served.Nobody offered to refill our glasses while dining. The best part of the whole dinner was a very tasty banana flambe.Upon leaving a tall hostess had a nice chat with me while I was awaiting for my bf. She has been one of the very few good notes of this disappointing night.Exception made for her nobody asked how we felt about the dinner...It would have been appreciated if a chef or manager asked how we feel about the food.We truly felt wasting money on an expensive, yet not good experience!

This doesn’t make the category of a restaurant. It is a shack on the beach. The 2 food items on the menu is cooked in very unacceptable conditions. Overall, DO NOT waste time coming here if you want a restaurant. This listing should be removed as it does not meet the criteria for a restaurant.

Matisse is one of the only restaurants that has maintained a very good level of food and service in Nassau over the years. This is probably due to Greg the owner and Allen the manager running the place like professionals. Staff are also the best on the Island by far.The outdoor open space is one of the nicest on the Island and you would not think you are in the middle of downtown Nassau. The food is good not incredible but for Nassau its one of the best. I still would like to see an Italian serve veal but probably because its rare to find in the Bahamas they don't have any on their menu. The pasta is good, Fish is ok and could be done in a more Italian tradition than American. The pizza definitely needs improvement.I still gave it 5 star because you will hardly find a better experience in Nassau.

The grilled veggies were cauliflower and carrots. The service was friendly. The food was slow to come out of the kitchen. Other people who came after me got theirs first. Maybe I ordered something that just took extra time (?).The second time I had the octopus with white rice and salad. The octopus was cooked perfectly, which is hard to do. The food came out faster the second time.Indoor and outdoor seating available. Accepted credit card.12% VAT and 15% tip added to the bill.
