This restaurant is located in Nakamisedori, the shopping street outside JR station. A popular restaurant for locals and tourists, it is a bit crowded but the food is very good, with fresh seafood and nice sushi, which are all available at a very reasonable price.

Atami is famous for it's dry fish. Irorichaya can give you a sample of three different kinds of dry fish in one of their lunch set. My wife ordered horse mackerel rice with tea which is also their signature dish during day time. Attached photos of the set.BBQ dry fish is excellent. Horse mackerel is not as good as we expected. The restaurant is near by the train station.

We went into this restaurant because it was the nicest looking restaurant in the area from the outside. We had a 1000 yen and a 3500 yen chirashi. The latter came in 2 layers, sashimi on top and rice with various ingredients at the bottom. The cheaper chirashi has a few pieces of sashimi too. Very good value and delicious. For smaller eaters, the 3500 yen chirashi is enough for two, as my wife and I discovered. Recommended.

1. Kimi no Hamayaki
We are located at the Atami port. Owners are local fishermen. We serve live shells, fresh fishes such as catch of the day fishes, grill, fly, baked. We specialize seafoods.

We went to this little place in Atami by the port. We had fresh sashimi which was amazing, we also had the grilled combo and sake of course. It was all delicious. Excellent find!
