The municipality comprises the city of Izegem proper and the towns of Emelgem and Kachtem. Emelgem was added to Izegem in 1965, Kachtem in 1977. Izegem itself lies on the southern banks of the Mandel, Emelgem and Kachtem on the north. Along the shores of the canal a large industrial zone has developed, which made the three municipalities one urban area. On January 1, 2006, Izegem had a total population of 26,544. The total area is 25.48 km (9.84 sq mi) which gives a population density of 1,042 inhabitants per km².

This restaurant is very popular in Roeselare, is in good location just a bit away from the main square of the city but certainly walkable. This is our first time coming to the place, we have a good welcome from one of the staff.Coming with family and friends, we have a separate room. Arrived at noon while waiting with other guests we got a welcome drink. The weather was good we can sit outside for pre-dinner drink while inside there were reception tables ready but seems everyone like to sit outside. Outdoor sitting wasn't too big but just enough for usWe have our aperitif with apetizers served outside. We already have the menus, everyone got the same dish beef, except me, I don't eat beef meat. We have an hour to enjoy the aperitif and appetizer, then, we have to sit inside where the meal is servedFor entree we got a plate with asparagus, scallop and salmon, good combination. For main dish, I have duck meat while the others have beef, the plate is served with steam tomato, bean and sauce in it, french fries serve separately in a bowlFor dessert we have a plate of freshly baked apple cake served with a scoop ice cream on top decorated with strawberry and almond flakes. Personally, the plate dessert was one of my favourite, I find the menu dish less worth the price. The food served nicely in a plate, that's what countsThis is a 1 star Michelin restaurant, I find it not worth for a star rating . The interior of this restaurant has nicely atmosphere with plenty of spotlights, makes the room so attractive. Is not cheap place to dine but the service and quality of the food is what matters

This was probably one of the best meals we had in months. Good location, nice interior decoration, efficient staff (tell the young waiter not to run away immediately after having explained the course), delicious food and good wines.But all this comes at a price. Located in the outskirts of Kortrijk, in a new industrial area, this restaurant is situated in what looks like an old farmhouse. Nice interior decoration and warm welcome. Efficient service. Staff is exclusively female, except for the chef, as far as we could see. Maybe coincidence. The quality/price ratio of the menu is very good. No flexibility was offered to replace an item in the menu. Wines are a little expensive indeed, but well chosen.In a brasserie you may expect a lot of noise. But the acoustics in the room are quite bad. This always happens with a V-shaped ceiling and no other sound-deadening materials.

We waren in dit mooi gelegen restaurant voor een visbuffet. Tafels staan voldoende ruim van elkaar zodat je niet gestoord wordt door je buren of omgekeerd. Gezellige zaal. Na een aperitiefje met hapje werden we uitgenodigd aan het buffet, waarop allerlei vissoorten en -bereidingen, zoals verse en gerookte zalm, gerookte makreel, sprotfilets, inktvis, vissalade, ook allerlei groentjes en koude pastabereidingen, en een klein assortiment charcuterie en kazen. Voor elk wat wils dus, en daarbij werden aan tafel nog frietjes gebracht. De buffetformule is gezellig omdat je zelf kiest en de nodige tijd hebt. Daarna kozen we nog voor een koffie met daarbij nog enkele versnaperingen. De prijs valt absoluut goed mee, de bediening is vriendelijk en correct. Zeker een aanrader !

I ate here as part of a large group (30 +) for lunch. We were offered a choice of two starters and two main courses. I had the steak for my main which was one of the best steaks i have ever had, pretty impressive given how big a group we were.The service was efficient, friendly impeccable and everyone's food arrived on time and all left remarking what a fantastic lunch they had just enjoyed. The restaurant itself is quite atmospheric and to get to the toilets involves a real Lion Witch and Wardrobe type experience as you seem to enter a cupboard (don't worry it is actually a doorway into a bigger area disguised as a cupboard).A fantastic place, highly recommended.

In my opinion this is the best restaurant in town! The food is really good, the service was over my expectations, really friendly! The decoration is really nice! Everything was perfect! This is a small restaurant and from what I can determine likely has one seating per night. I do not speak Flemish (the rest of my party did) and the server was very accommodating with an English menu and she spoke English with me, Flemish with the rest of the group. The food was very tasty (I had the filet). Everyone in our party loved their meal, especially the scallops. The service was excellent and not rushed at all. It was a great meal and evening.Thank you for your positive feedback. We try to serve the guests as good as possible and if possible we try to do this in their language. There is one seating per night because the guests would not feel rushed and can enjoy their meal at ease.
