Although a little shabby around the edges, the staff were friendly and we had a lovely meal. Unfortunately the open fire was beside our table and it would have given a better impression if it had been cleaned out and reset rather than a grate of ashes with paper and sticks lying on the hearth.

My husband and I had the good fortune to visit this restaurant twice, once in June and again in August, also once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the staff was excellent and food delicious. My husband has a seafood allergy and finding a place with good non-seafood options can be challenging in the area. This place, I can highly recommend.

Lovely little restaurant. Excellent friendly service. Good reasonably priced menu. Salmon fishcakes were tasty and the cheesecake was the best.Even when a large group of 16 came in - the staff were unflustered, calm and friendly! and still delivered quick service.Fully recommend a visit.

We reached Mallaig on the Jacobite Express steam train. Reaching this upstairs restaurant, we were asked if we were on the train so that they could make sure that we were served with plenty of time to get back.A short but varied menu with a couple of specials is matched with a much longer drinks menu, including some craft beers. My wife had the Cullen Skink (a Scottish broth of smoked and plain fish with potato in a creamy sauce) while I had sea bass with crispy capers, mussels (in the shell) and samphire in a lovely sauce, with chips in a separate bowl.We both finished off with a lemon posset served with fresh strawberries, strawberry ice cream and ginger crumb.Everything was fantastic: it’s not often you get fish cooked such that not only is the skin edible, but that it would be a crime not to eat it, as it was so delicious.Run by a lovely family, service is efficient and friendly.A definite hit.

This B &B is beautifully situated round the corner from Arisaig with stunning views. It is very welcoming and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious - they catered very well for people who are gluten intolerant. The "dram before bedtime" was a lovely idea. The dog loved the secure garden too.

Ate here 2 nights running. 1st visit was excellent, busy, good food, good price. 2nd night the menu had changed, ? new management. More expensive for some of the same food than the night before, other items simply not there any more. Service less good on 2nd night and much quieter.

Excellent food, great service, we were there with 11 people, all staying at the hotel and they sat us together. There were other large groups 5-8 and they rearranged as needed to accommodate them all wit crowding anyone. We were there during the Arisaig Highland Games and while busy never seemed understaffed and extremely competent management of service between the main dinning room and an auxiliary dinning space that we took advantage off for a private diner for our family. Absolute must, Shaun and his staff are great-hang not to them

Café Rhu is an attractive eating-place in the small village of Arisaig off the main Mallaig-Fort William road, serving good coffees, main meals and snacks. Seating, which is limited, is upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs has stunning views out to the islands with ample parking across the road. Useful extensive Spar-type store next door with an ATM.

Tonight was ceilidh night, after the village's Highland Games, and this place was busy! But the staff managed the situation, produced good beer (Whiteout and Happy Chappie) while we waited for a delicious meal: Belly of Pork with mustard mash, three different carrots and fantastic garlicky cabbage and apple sauce; my wife had Cullen Skink (very good) and hot salmon salad (yum!). We both had cheesecake and raspberry for dessert. A very well served and delicious meal, thanks chaps!

Really lovely atmosphere and a wonderful welcome. Food is very good, fish and chips excellent and rack of lamb delicious. Might be nice to have a kids menu with slightly smaller/cheaper portions, it’s a little pricey as it stands when eating with kids. Overall though, would definitely recommend this place! Thank you for your kind review we are very pleased you enjoyed your meals. We do not have a children's menu but we do offer half portions of most of our dishes for children and if asked we will chop and change our menu ( when possible ) to accommodate them.
