Very good food in LBH restaurant, both for breakfast and dinner. Nicely appointed dining room. Menu very good with plenty of options. Wine list extensive suiting most palates and budgets. Will eat here again if in the area. Booking essential to ensure a table.

We visited the Restaurant for the first time, for lunch on 29th November 2017. We experienced very good, freshly cooked, food. What an unexpected pleasure. The service was most friendly and efficient. We will definitely be returning.

Tamburino's first restaurant was opened in Yeovil on the 27th February 2005 bringing the town a true taste of Italy with our wonderful traditional cuisine and vibrant atmosphere.Owner Domenico Taravella is from Sicily, where passion runs deep. No more so than the passion for food and hospitality. In fact, Domenico began his restaurant career at the tender age of 14 - not surprising, because as he says, "Food and drink are part of the culture of my country. We embrace them at a very young age"

We actually live in Leicester, but often return to YEOVIL to visit our Grandchildren.
We decided to treat them to Lunch today, we have been to Tamburino MANY TIMES before, we have NEVER had cause to complain, or have we been disappointed.
Our main waitress today was Joanna, what a lovely girl, she kept checking we were ok, but not so much as to be intrusive, all the time smiling and happy, she could not have been more attentive, in fact they all seem to have the balance just right, Danilo helped out with drinks too, we didn’t realise the children ate free ! Wow what a lovely gesture, I cannot praise this restaurant enough, the choices are so many it’s difficult to chose, but rest assured whatever you do decide will be absolutely delicious, the staff will take excellent care of you.
We will be back on our next visit.

Always make the effort to have a meal here when visiting Somerset and haven’t been disappointed. The food is generally locally sourced and good choice of vegetarian meals along with meat ones. Even the Sunday lunch does a veg option so puzzled by the previous comments saying the meal was the same minus the meat. The restaurant is clean and cosy so again comments saying it is tatty are puzzling.

The Pen Mill Hotel is a well established business in the area that for the past 13 years under the same family ownership has been fast gaining a reputation for quality food and drink. Using local, independent suppliers wherever possible. In February 2014 we undertook an almost £200,000 refurbishment of the hotel bedrooms. This has now bought us above the local and indeed national average for quality in hotel rooms. Combine this with our ever popular bar and restaurant and you have a quality establishment that unlike many others has a personality with a family atmosphere!

We have stayed at the Pen Mill Hotel on a number of occasions now. On each occasion our perception is, it gets better. The rooms are very clean, comfortable & great attention to detail is very apparent. The food (carvery) is amongst the best I have had anywhere. The cask ale is kept very well, and my wife assured me that the wine is good. Check in, check out at the bar is easy. Overall it is clear that Jon & Sarah run very happy team which in turn leads to an excellent operation.

Visited for dinner on route to a concert in Yeovil. The restaurant decor is modern & stylish, the menu has lots of interesting dishes & the food was great. Service was very good, attentive but not overly, & there is a really friendly atmosphere...a winning combination...we will be back!

First the excellent points. Beautifully furnished and decorated for Christmas, cheerful and helpful staff, a decently varied menu (a shame 3 items were 'off'when we visited. Aren't they always the ones you fancy?) and cooking to a high standard. The let down for us was the wine list. The list needn't be any bigger than it currently is but it needs to offer more variety, several bottles although being different were the same style of wine. Drop these 'duplicates' and add something not already included. I was so disappointed at this lack of choice that we didn't order any wine. I want to order something because I want it, not because it's the least disliked. I hope that this is taken as constructive criticism.

Use this little cafe at least twice a month, they serve a great value breakfast always cooked to order, together with granary toast & a pot of tea, makes visits for blood tests etc worthwhile as I compensate myself afterwards with the great breakfasts, really friendly owners , makes every visit a pleasure.

What a great find off the beaten track. My friend Elspeth and I, she had visited before, set off this morning on a dismal , wet and grey day to this refuge from the Saturday shopping crowds to the pristine countryside to enjoy wonderful cuisine and a convivial atmosphere. Brett and wife, Kelly, run this establishment with 3 chefs in the kitchen and keep a steady business going all year round. The menu today was 4 starts and Mains with 4 desserts--fare for all tastes. We settled on fish, I ad the carb risotto which as a starter portions was more than adequate and the other dish was a 4 fish medley- grilled to perfection. Other things to choose were Duck, Venison, Steak, Gourmet Burger. Desserts were hard to choose from a Hot Chocolate soufflé- ( known as a volcano sometimes) - TOO delicious with a Caramel salt home made ice cream and Pear and Apple crumble with fresh cream and vanilla ice cream. Presentation and timing was perfect. There is a reason Brett won the Chef of the Year Award for Dorset as well as Winner in the Food and Wine category. Well deserved!
