This is the second time that i visited this tavern.
We went early enough, in relevance to the time Greek people eat launch, in order to find a spot, as the tavern does not make Reservations on Sundays nor National Holidays.
We were lucky enough to find a place to sit. Everything was as great as i remembered. The surrounding area, the decoration, the great atmosphere.
Luckily we remembered some of the great dishes that we ate the previous time, but we also selected some new. The portions were big enough, and gorgeous.
We were six people, and we ordered six portions along with the appetizers, but we finally were unable to finish all of our food. Luckily, the staff was very helpful and packed our leftover portions for take away.
Overall, everything was great, we had an amazing time, and i will definatelly visit again.

One of the best restaurants in the old town of Xanthi. Everything starts with the great location and nice old-type building. Well decorated with elements of last century. Then, it comes to tastes. Excellent dishes in terms of taste, quality and quantity. I recommend "mpourekia with pastourma", "loukaniko petalo", "kavourma" and all cheese combinations. Nice meat and home made dishes. Prices are very good for the quality and the environment of the restaurant. Strongly recommended.

This is the best tavern in Xanthi. Good food, large portions, low prices, smiling stuff. Here you can eat meat or fish in a big variety of plates. Nice location near the park. We have been eating here for 15 years and they never dissapoint us.

A restaurant in the old town of Xanthi. The building used to be a house. Try the apetisers and also the main cooked dishes. Very delicius. I enjoyed also the red wine!

Had HunkarBegendi there. Was soooooooo delicious. Meat and eggplant was just great. Big portions! Kenan, the waiter, was so kind and helpful. Courses that i've tried was all so delicious. Kavurma with eggs was yummy! Skews were looking delicious as well. I highy recommend you to visit fanaraki if you go to xanthi! Please do not miss it!

It was late and we were bored and the smells just led us to this restaurant. We ordered the kebab and one of their sausage dishes with wine and it was great. Big portions, tasty food, good wine and quick service.

Popped in on Sunday for lunch.
Same great welcome, the Son was there being a waiter and font of knowledge about his Mother's food.
Three starters, the tsatziki was delicious, the others also very good.
The main, well, lamb, every part of it, cooked over coals beautifully. I am a squeamish eater, I don't eat a lot of offal, but here, where it is marinated and cooked so carefully, I ate more different cuts of lamb than I knew existed.
Pud was good.
Beer and wine very nice.
The warm welcom, the lovely atmosphere, well worth the 1800 mile drive from London.
We will be back.

The food and drinks are delicious. The waiter explained the menu clear and provided support by the selection of the different dishes. After a while, we got the chosen dishes and we have had not enough compliments for the professionalism of the cook.
And last but not least, there are a lot of Pokémon nearby.

Το μαγαζι αποτελει ισως την πιο φθηνη επιλογη αν καποιος θελει να φαει μακαροναδα στην Ξανθη. Ωστοσο ειναι μετρια. Παρα πολυ λαδι και γενικα το αποτελεσμα δε θα ελεγα οτι ειβαι επαγγελματικο. Αποτελει παρα πολυ καλη λυση για φοιτητες.
