We eat here every time we stay in Whistler. I like the variety of choices, and the wait staff is always friendly and accommodating. I was less impressed with the deconstructed tacos, although it was helped by asking for additional guacamole. My husband really liked his mussels. The roasted root vegetables were also very tasty. Do not miss out on the sticky pudding. I would be willing to come here just for that - again and again. We share it 4 ways, but the temptation is to eat that all by myself. Come early to get a table, otherwise it could be a wait - no Reservations. (Bummer). Also we have had spectacular breakfasts here.

I had the Turkey chili which uniquely included a scoop of mashed potatoes and a nice hunk of crusty bread. First, our server, Jamie, was most excellent. Friendly, helpful, prompt, courteous. The fish is very fresh and tasty. My husband loved his 7 Nigiri combo with spicy tuna roll. I had the Unagi roll and the real crab California roll. Both delicious. I asked for extra spicy mayo on the side, which gave some condiment options. Loved it! Come early to get a table. The restaurant seems to fill up by 6:30, and then you will wait until someone vacates. No Reservations.

We made Reservations for a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary at Whistler. We were greeted warmly at the door and wished a happy anniversary. The host said he was putting us at a special table by the fireplace. The atmosphere is elegant and yet cozy. No complaints there. (After that, nobody wished us a Happy Anniversary nor offered complimentary anything. I'm sure the host failed to notify the servers of the special occasion)
We knew the meal would be expensive, but this was EXPENSIVE! I declined to have wine because a glass would have cost double what we usually pay for a bottle (!). The scallops (which came out to $8 per scallop) and the Roasted Steelhead - all tasted very good. We also had the Caesar salad - disappointing, not cold enough, dressing and croutons lame, no shaved Parmesan cheese. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes were also a big disappointment. They were pretty bland. And for dessert, we had (Sticky Toffee Pudding) so delicious! and the Garibaldi White Forest, which sounded delicious, but was not. My husband did not even finish it. When the server asked if we liked the desserts, and we told her one YES and the other no, she just shrugged. So, we won't be back. We frankly expected all the food to be excellent, and it was not.
(And, warning! if you are a vegetarian, the table next to us chose their steak for cooking. This involved a cart with a large chunk of raw meat wheeled to their table and the server cutting a slice out of it. Disgusting to see actually)

We came twice during our week long stay and tried both Whistler village and the daily special which was italian sausage, green peppers, and white onions. Both were excellent. We tried dessert once, it was OK, not really the reason you go here though. Highly recommended, best pizza in Whistler.
