We didn't make a reservation beforehand but were lucky enough to get their last table. The restaurant was fully booked and this did result in a little bit noisy atmosphere. We opted for the month menu and were very professionally served. The food was very tasty and it was really a nice tender and perfect grilled steak. We have had other experiences with restaurants overcharging but this isn't one of them. Recommendable.

We were looking for a local restaurant on Trip Advisor, read the reviews for this one and decided to give it a go.
The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The menu was a little more restricted than we were expecting but the food was good and excellent value for money. Drinks were also reasonably priced and the Leffe on tap was excellent.

Great restaurant. If you want to eat gastronomic that's the place you have to be. The dishes are divine and delicious!! The week menu is unbelievably good for value and the theme menu all inclusive is definitely worth taking. Quality/price can not be better. The atnosphere of the restaurant which is located in an very nice old town house is superb. You can eat in the orangerie which is more cosy but up the stairs is a little more posh but still great. In the summer you really need to eat outside. Gorgeous under the parasols! The service is very very friendly and the time between the dishes is to be called perfect. If you are in the area (Kortrijk or so) make sure you go as you will not be dissapointed at all! The food is DELICIOUS !!

We went there twice: once for a romantic Valentine dinner and once for business. That's in a standard house, well decorated, and with a quite atmosphere. The menu is very well elaborated with each time surprising tastes and look. Really a must in the region if you love the fine cuisine.

i had passed by this restaurant on the outside afew times , till last nite , my 'son' suggested going there , a delight !! easy parking , very warm, friendly, professional service in a 'homely' atmosphere .......they showed they cared about your enjoyment !! very rare in today's restaurants........... very good quality - price .......... the Foie gras Maison ....... will certainly make you dream about it , and make a return trip worth it , where the dishes are presented with style , and taste good as well !!

It is nice to see how this restaurant keeps improving. The outside Terrace, the interior decoration, the warm welcome, the efficient service, the delicious dishes, the excellent price/quality ratio, its unique location ...
We always arrive early at about half past six to avoid rush hour, especially during weekends. But best is to call in advance, or to book online through their new webpage on Facebook.
In our view, this simply is what a restaurant should be. A restaurant where you can go with family, friends, colleagues or partner. A restaurant for all seasons. A restaurant for all budgets.

Ate here as a party of 4 at lunchtime. We all had the set meal €40. Very good value. Included aperitif main and ice cream or Irish coffee. For main we had lamb chops, lamb leg and 2 x rib of beef. Definitely not for vegetarians but the meat was lovely. Great flavour and cooked to perfection. Irish coffee was very strong, but not with coffee. I want to go back today.

Today we had a very bad experience with Bistro Marie-Jo. Our reservation for today that had been made 5 weeks ago, had apparently gone lost so no table reservation at all. So far for our first impression... Fortunately we got a table upstairs where we sat completely alone but this did not bother us that much. What did bother us is that they gave us a lousy excuse that the reservation got lost because of a phone failure (while our reservation had been made at the restaurant in person). We were 5 persons and ordered all differently and 3 of us were not satisfied . One got his steak well done while he ordered "medium rare"; one got pasta with asparagus without any sauce (too dry to eat and overpriced) and one got a "sole meunière" that was overdone. The waitress did not know the difference between sole and sea bass when she brought it to our table but what shocked us most was that they acted in a very arrogant way when my husband said the steak was not served like he ordered. All these things considered, the food was overpriced for what we got, service poor and on the edge of being rude. We would certainly not recommend to go there !

Het nog weinig gekende concept "Bistronomie" brengt de gastronomische keuken op een eenvoudige manier. TASTE OF THE DAY! From gastronomy to the Bistro through its TeaLounge, not to mention all the suggestions of David. Products of quality, finely worked. Every new season, I would suggest a new card, you could come to taste it entirely on the first Friday night of the new season in the form of walking diner.

Our experience in the restaurant 'David Selen' proves that for some chefs it doesn't matter if you come with a voucher or not - We did have bad restaurant visits with vouchers... - , you are treated like a king or queen anyway. We stayed there to enjoy the wonderful meal, to sleep in the great B & B and to delight in a gorgeous breakfast. The service was absolutely to our satisfaction. And yes, chef David Selen came to shake our hand. Did this add anything to the surprising supper we had? I must admit, no, but it counted up to the warm welcome we had from the beginning. And the end, our breakfast, was AMAZING! Who can tell he had a slice of 'truffle' in his champagne as a birthday present? Thanks for this stunning gourmet indulgence!

We enjoyed a very nice lunch to celebrate a birthday with the family (17 adults + 3 children) and were positively surprised by the food and the service. Also the accompanying wines were very nice. We loved the Pieterman fishdish with the dry white wine and especially the Spanish Ribeira del Duero with the main dish (veal). After the dessert, a chocolate moelleux with a scoop of lemon ice, we had our coffee outside on the Terrace, looking out over the peaceful meadows and the river Leie. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day.
