Our weekly selection of the family threesome, included my eldest son, Marcos. The Park Ave Grill (PAG) offered a unique 4 course dinner with specially selected wines for each course from the Santa Barbara Region. PAG one of our favorites and over the years it has become a premier restaurant for us, as they host two separate restaurants, the PAG and iL Garage which is located right on the same grounds of the PAG.
Each selected wine was to be paired with each course, The vintner was delayed and selected wines on the menu were not available. However, not to be out done, our Chef provided us an equally high level of vino from the SB area and we were't disappointed.

~ Slow Roasted Lamb Shank
At long last, our Vintner, Brent arrived as the traffic congestion was the honorable answer and provided us with a dessert wine, "Honey Badger" and quite good for our dessert.

This was our first to try at a combination of several courses with wine. We are looking forward to a future Wine Diner Special hosted by PAG and hopefully "unLUCKY" Dogg Winery will be on time! The price for meal and wine was rather affordable.
We had good time, the 4 course meals were excellent and the wine was good!

The concept of the restaurant is we honor the arrival of every guest, treat each as our friend to honor the humanese concept, and anyone representing Au Lac is eager to present the two kitchens and have a chance to serve a delicious meal. It's a unique meal in that there are only plant-based, unprocessed and organic ingredients. Vegan-Living is our style of dining but also a lifestyle you can feel.

Vegan? This good? SERIOUSLY?!?!
Oh my goodness, you will not believe the flavors these folks bring to a plate of raw, vegan cuisine. If you're vegetarian, vegan, paleo, dairy-free, or gluten-free, you will be in heaven. If you're a carnivore, I promise ... you won't even miss the meat.
At tonight's visit, we ordered the following ... pictures attached.
Cream cheese appetizer. This was stinking amazing. Flaxseed cracker with pesto, basil leaf, diced mushrooms, bell pepper, avocado and crispy onion. One order comes with 3 pieces, and I could eat these all day long. Absolutely delicious. My only critique is the name. Cream cheese? Tastes nothing like cream cheese, texture is not like cream cheese, and there's no cream cheese in it. Don't know what's up with the misleading name, but the flavors are spectacular.
Steamed spring rolls with peanut sauce. This was tasty, but my least favorite appetizer tonight. The rice roll is very thin, and it's packed with yummy stuff. Good peanut sauce.
Salt and pepper shrimp. To. Die. For. The preparation is exactly the same as the DTLA location, so the menu here is incorrect. No soy or tofu in the shrimp. The shrimp is actually yam and tapioca. .. and the texture perfectly mimics actual shrimp. I promise, your shrimp-loving friends will not be able to tell this is vegan. Plus, the batter is tapioca, so it's gluten free. Nice crunch on the batter, but not thick, greasy, etc. Just perfect.
Sweet and sour chicken. So good. Again, you will not be able to tell this is vegan. Super fresh, flavors are spot on for sweet and sour chicken, tender crunchy onion, peppers, pineapple. The vegan chicken has marvelous texture and flavor.
The "soft taco" was delicious, but it's not really a taco. It's not really Asian, either. It's a teriyaki lettuce wrap with southwest flax cracker, avocado and young coconut. Absolutely yummy in every way, just a misleading name. Don't think of it as a soft taco and you'll be fine.
Donut holes. Meh. Apparently this is a specialty of this location. Pretty good, but NOT a donut hole. Not even close. It's a doughy green ball filled with melted palm sugar. My best description: it's kind of a warm molasses center inside green tea dough.
Green tea ice cream. Off the hook yummy! Big scoop. Covered in decorative swirls of raspberry puree and mango puree. Delicious.
There's plenty of parking, and the restaurant is clean and pretty. Absolutely fabulous service. Incredible flavors. My only criticism is that the names of the dishes don't exactly match what you get. If you can ignore the titles, you are in for a spectacular culinary adventure here!

There are multiple locations for Lazy Dog around SoCal. We visited with my sister, her husband and my daughter and had a grand time. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday. She liked all the large portrait photos of dogs around the restaurant. The food choices are varied and there are good entrees for children.

Me and my girlfriend stayed in Marriott suites for 4 nights. We went to Basil restaurant in the hotel and had tremendous difficulty getting a server to attend to us. My girlfriend had made eye contact with the server but that didn’t work. She had to get up and talk to him to actually get him to give us menus. Finally when he decided to come by he threw the menus down and walked away. He was unable to answer questions we had and generally seemed disinterested and seriously inconvenienced with us being there. We waited for about 10-15 minutes more before we decided to get up and leave. He didn’t notice because he was busy on his cellphone behind the bar facing away from the sitting area. This is despicable service, nothing more needs to be said.

We were fortunate to know someone who entertained us at Club 33! WOW! From the minute you walk in to the minute you walk out, you are treated like royalty. The food is served as a 5 course menu. We opted for the wine pairings with our meal. Not only was the food wonderful, the wine was spectacular - like nothing you can imagine. Matt was our server - THE BEST!Truly an experience! Grateful to Angela.

They make a great, inexpensive hamburger and fries that are always good. I always stop at one when I come to California. This one was no exception. The burger was great.
Limited menu, fast service, and it is always a nice treat.

Sometimes, we just need to be lazy and not cook dinner, so of course IN AND OUT! So glad, we live close by!
Menu can be semi personalized, if you know how to order, 2 car lanes for drive thru, and if very busy, they have guys taking order BEFORE the box, hint if you like crisp fries, ask for ' double cook. '
Love the shakes, thick and filling! Chocolate of course!

This is a great option. All menu items are pictured on the wall. Lots of standard fare with options. It will probably be crowded at lunch and in evening. We had multiple dishes from nachos to enchiladas to a Molcajete overflowing with meat, vegetables, cheese and avocados. Ate here three times and took food home for later every time.

Located in a small strip mall on Beach Blvd. near the West Orange Superior court, the cafe has a friendly atmosphere and, excellent service and a comfort food menu that includes Mexican specialties. Breakfast, lunch or dinner you can't go wrong. It can get busy during week days when the court is in session, especially around lunch time. Free off street parking is available.

Oh my! So delicious!!! If Sabroso was good enough for Guy Fieri, then it’s good enough for me. This is some of the most authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had!
All too often, highly-rated restaurants of all varieties will disappoint, due in part to unfairly high expectations. But this is not that restaurant! Despite my lofty impressions formed after a perusal of many reviews, Sabroso managed to live up to the hype! From their impeccable sauces and tender meats to their commitment to authenticity and perfectly-crafted flavors, Sabroso delivers on every level. And the wait staff is incredibly friendly and happy to answer any questions, making us feel right at home.
Tip #1: Get the tamale appetizer!!! I love the perfect tamale, and this appetizer provides the most massive tamale I’ve ever seen! The expertly-crafted corn exterior is of utmost quality and the red sauce is a perfect complement!
Tip #2: Get an extra side of the corn tortillas and take them home! These are the best corn tortillas I’ve ever eaten and they come with every meal!!! But once you’ve cleaned out the basket of six tortillas, running them through whichever heavenly sauce was left on your plate, you’ll want some souvenirs to eat later!
The Chile Verde was very good, offering tender medallions of roast beef in a spectacular green sauce. Typically, Mexican cuisine is accompanied by stale rice and mediocre beans. But here, we were treated to very fresh rice and the delightfully silky peruano beans! Wow!
I’m more of a thin and crispy chip lover, so I’m not a big fan of the thicker chips here, but the fabulous salsas make up for it. But quite honestly, the menu is phenomenal from top to bottom, a gem in the middle of Garden Grove!
