West Chicago is a city in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 27,086 at the 2010 census. It was formerly named Junction and later Turner, after its founder, John B. Turner, president of the Galena and Chicago Union Railroad (G&CU) in 1855. The city was initially established around the first junction of railroad lines in Illinois, and today is still served by the Union Pacific West Metra service via West Chicago station.

Best breakfast experience I've ever had!
Staff is top notch! Very friendly and make you feel like family.
The food is amazing! Fresh, flavorful and cooked to perfection. My poached eggs couldn't have been more perfectly cooked.
You get the perfect amount of food, I was full but not overly so.
The fresh fruit is the best fruit I've had at a restaurant.
Food is reasonably priced as well.
Great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to come back!

We have gone here for years. There are many good things on the menu - pizza, pretzels, cheese fries, cobb salad, pulled pork, burger, mac and cheese, sloppy joe grilled cheese, there isn't much on the menu we haven't eaten. I've never had bad food there, it is always clean, the staff is friendly and great.
However, not much changes anymore. Previously they had specials, small plates, things that would change out. Not for a while now. They would post the new items of the week on FB with photos and that would entice us out. For a while we visited at least once a month. Now, it's more like every four months.
Also, small complaint of mine, within the last year they only serve their own beer. I don't drink beer and they previously sold cider. You can bring your own beverages in, but that has stopped us from spontaneously going there.
I would still recommend eating here, it is a nice establishment and good food. I just long for how amazing I know it was years ago. Maybe the brand has gotten too large for a seasonal menu and social media updates.

A nice little comfort stop in Geneva. The gelato was great, creamy and delicious. The portion size was huge for whatever we paid. The coffee and drink choices were ample. They have a nice choice of sandwiches and salads at great prices. The outdoor area is really nice on a summer or early fall day.

If you love hand-cut fries, eat at Steamboat, but the smoked meats (to this at-home small-batch smoker) are moderately bitter and seem to taste just a bit of petroleum smoke. No sweet apple our crisp mesquite undertones. Specifically, we tried beef brisket and pulled pork. Both were a bit dry and certainly not exceptional. The nadir: baked beans that were unpleasantly squishy (sc. super-cheap canned beans with a bitter smoke flavor). That said, the sauces were good, and the service was quick.

The young man who took care of our group yesterday for breakfast was great. We had a few requests and he was very accommodating. The food was similar to many other local breakfast spots except they gave both fruit and potatoes with the omelet. Plenty of food. No going hungry. Seating was nice and tables were not on top of each other.

This location has some of the hardest working employees ever! They never mess up an order and work hard to make you happy! We stop in here almost everyday before school and then again after school! Love the cold coffee specials!

If you haven't stopped here for a soft, delicious home-made pretzel then you're missing out! They offer a daily lunch pretzel, stuffed full of good meat, veggies & cheese. The meatball pretzel is awesome (very tender) and the chicken is awesome! Then they have their cinnamon-sugar pretzel (with a side of Nutella if you like) that is the BEST ever! We often stop for one of these on Saturday afternoons as a special treat. Their hours are lunch only, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. and on Saturday you need to get there early as a line starts forming before they open. it's worth the wait. This is a funky little place, has a couple of bar stools at a small counter to eat in, picnic tables outside to enjoy when the weather is nice. They have a nice selection of homemade soups as well - yum!

This was our first time to dine at Ivy and we were delighted. The service was helpful, efficient, sensitive to our needs (turned down the music). The menu features a wide variety of appetizers and entrees. The tilapia fish with crab was delicious and served with fresh veggies was healthy too. There is a pleasant and peaceful ambience to the place that compliments the food all of which gave us a splendid dining experience. We were with a group of friends and enjoyed a private dining room. Prices were mid-range.

We went to Hawthorne's on Saturday night for dinner. They have an all you can eat prime rib, crab legs and chicken buffet. The food is always fresh and tastes outstanding! The staff is always friendly and provides outstanding service. I recommend this place for a nice night out for a few drinks or for an all out Saturday night dinner!
