We pass through Watertown on our way to Canada and this year decided to do something different. We reviewed the TripAdvisor reviews and decided on this place. Excellent choice. The food was all very fresh. I had a house salad that was clearly made within minutes of its arrival at the table. My husband said the crab bisque was very good. I had the bucatini with pesto and chicken. It was really good, the pesto sauce was very light being mostly olive oil and basil with a hint of garlic and parmesan. My husband had the special - bacon wrapped salmon with maple dijon risotto. He said it was excellent. We sat in the bar because the restaurant was crowded and the service was excellent. The server was very helpful, pleasant and efficient. The place is clearly a neighborhood favorite. Next time we pass through Watertown, we will definitely stop here.

The Crystal is the polar opposite of the chic, contemporary, urban restaurant that tries too hard to be retro. The Crystal is actually the real deal. It's no nonsense, the interior is charming in a slightly worn and weather beaten sort of way and what you are served is good comfort food. I was there for lunch and ordered the "Assorted Cold Plate," which came with a generous serving of Turkey, pork, beef, ham, along with tomato, a pickle, macaroni salad and dinner rolls. It was excellent. Don't expect lavish or artistic presentations. It's more like having a really good meal at your grandmother's place.
Crystal Restaurant is one of the reasons why it's worth visiting Watertown's historic town centre, around Public Square. Many Canadians who come to shop in Watertown never make it here, since they stick to the mall and the box stores near the 81. But to my fellow Canadians I would definitely recommend having a lunch at The Crystal during one of those shopping trips. It's very affordable, hearty and the restaurant's original 1920s interior is worth seeing.

First time here with family, place is a little dark but we had a nice table by a window. Food was very good, enjoyed the covered meatball sandwich, which was tasty and quite filling. An overall good experience

Was at this location with friends. Very good service, again place was full. There are peanuts in baril in different location in the restaurant. Very good meal and will be back.

This review is not about the food or restaurant itself as that is consistently good and I think good value.
I would like to thank our server and the management of Olive Garden that happily made it so easy to ask for “separate checks” for a party of six. Our server even offered to split the price of the bottle of wine that five of us shared and add the cost to five of the six separate bills.... all with a smile on his face and a “not a problem” attitude.
In this day of everything being automated & computerized why is it so many restaurants make it a hassle and act put out when you ask for separate checks??
Good job Olive Garden...thank you.

Cracker Barrel is the perfect cozy restaurant to visit on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. From the surroundings to the good wholesome food. It really feels like you're at home and not eating out somewhere. One thing that will never go unnoticed for me is the endless refills of lemonade. The lemonade here is good and it's just what you need after a big meal. I've never bothered to buy anything in the store but if I ever did, the candles would be an easy option as there are so many different scents and a few different size options to choose from.

Knowing that it was going to be a drive from Watertown to Lake Placid, we stopped for lunch. All I remember about our lunch besides the sandwiches were very good, but the "french fries" were the highlight. They were little round discs with a great gravey. They were terrific. Anyone should try this...couples, family, friends, business and solo.

Great food! This was a great place to eat in the Hilton. Right off the interstate. Great place to stop if you are driving on 81.

We were looking for a basic lunch spot and, since we had never been to a Five Guys, we decided to try this one. You order at a counter and the menu is fairly basic....burgers, hot dogs, and some sandwiches. The Little Cheeseburger is actually a single patty, so be forewarned that the regular burger is a double patty. I went with the Little Cheeseburger, hubby went with the regular Bacon Cheeseburger along with some fries and a vanilla shake. There are also tons of toppings to put on to your liking. The shake came out immediately and it was enjoyed along with the free peanuts in the shell - what a great surprise! Our food came out fairly quickly and we enjoyed the burgers immensely. (The fries were ok, but a little soggy for our taste - we might try rings next time). The little Cheeseburger is still a big enough portion with all the toppings and sides! Washrooms were clean and the place was humming with indoor and outdoor seating to choose from. Great spot and a step up from other fast food places yet still very afforadable!
