Directly opposite the entrance to the museum with a view through the glass wall into the grounds of the Handmade paper mill, away from the busy road. Can sit on the large summer garden. Inside less space around some tables, corner with toys for kids, big and clean toilets, water bowl for the dog of course. Courteous service despite the great heat and number of guests. The menu mainly Czech and Moravian classics, grilled meat and various salads, children's portions in the menu.
Spinach dumplings with fried onion rings drenched sauce of blue cheese very delicate taste with a distinctive flavor sauces. A large portion of fried blue cheese increased energy value of light mixed salad. Excellent lunch topped with chilled alcohol free black lemon beer.

Sumperk is a nice town; the "center" of its region. But by far not a city or metropolis. This restaurant, Arte, has been and still is the best in town for at least the last 5 years. Slightly more expensive than others in town, but still very modest compared to Prague. Friendly service; also speaking English, as well. Good and nice mix of local Czech cuisine/ specialties and international food.

By far the best and friendliest restaurant I have tried on my many trips to Sumperk.
The staff are excellent and attentive. The manager speaks good english and so do a couple of the waitresses. The food is remarkably good and it serves a fantastic pizza cooked in a stone oven.
It is located on the main Hlavní třída and during the warm weather you can sit outside in a covered area and people watch.

This is probably the best restaurant/brewery I have ever visited. It is placed in Czech mountain area - Jeseníky (at the highway from Šumperk to Jeseníky).
The real ingredients from farmers and Forests in the neighborhood, unfiltered real beer "Kvasslav" brand. It is very cosy stylish place, clean, warm wooden furnishings with many straw accessories - you feel really welcome and happy there. Try home-made dumplings with blueberries and sour cream, you won´t eat any other. There is even a pension, but this I didn´t try. I come back here every year during staying in Jeseníky.

In total, everything was below-average. I mean small portions and quality of food, beer of pilsener type without foam. But the worst thing is a terrible service. Guests wait very long even for a menu, then for a meal. And finally a waitress can forget an order as in our case. No apology for it after reminder. As I can see other reviews and according to experience of some friends of ours, this is not an exception. I caanot recommend this pub. We were very dissatisfied.

At the half way between Šumperk and Jeseník city we find a beautifull small middle age Village - Branná , whit nice restaurant and wellness hotel Kolštejn, the same name middle age Castle. About restaurant - have their own brewery - beer was high standard czech lager, just served a little warmer them we expect. ... menu offer tipical local food, we just have a snack - pickled cheese and Sauer sausage "utopenci"- both were good. We are looking to come back at Winter time for skiing and to try their wellness.

I was invited to this restaurant by my friends while visiting them in Šumperk. I love burgers but so far I had only few great burgers in Prague so when I heard: "They have great burgers" I was bit sceptical. But what a surprise, they really have awesome burgers. And what more, the price is so low that I couldn't believe it. Beside it the burgers are big and they have a really stylish wrapping. I also ordered fries but that wasn't necessary.
Oh and the service was perfect - two young guys - but super friendly and professional, helping me choose the right beer and asking How did I like the burger. Such a small thing but they can make huge difference.
It could seem a bit like a student fast food or so, but give it a try, you will love it. Nice job, guys!

Route 44, we visited again on the recommendation. You can´t miss Guesthouse / Grill bar Trombly, beside the road 44 from the ski resort Kouty. Great parking, summer Terrace, trampoline and sandpit for children, inside phlegmatic female dog Sadie, toys for children, modern and clean toilets, friendly and communicative owner Boženka with american husband Mark. Very untraditional selection of food, from my point of view a kind of Tex - Mex mixed with Central Europe. Cook Mark skillfully prepares variety of burgers and tortillas as well as mixed music in the style of AOR.
We tasted Nachos with jalapeno peppers, quesadilla (cheese, beef burger, spicy sauce, vegetables), chicken nuggets, Czech sausage and as dessert waffles with whipped cream and chocolate.
Pleasantly spent 2 hours and our dog Peters was happy for borrowed toy from Sadie ...
