Three Forks is a city in Gallatin County, Montana, United States and is located within the watershed valley system of both the Missouri and Mississippi rivers drainage basins — and is historically considered the birthplace or start of the Missouri River. The population was 1,869 at the 2010 census. The city of Three Forks is named so because it lies geographically near the point, in nearby Missouri Headwaters State Park, where the Jefferson, Madison, and Gallatin Rivers converge to form the Missouri River — the longest single river in North America, as well as the major portion of the Missouri-Mississippi River System from the headwaters near Three Forks to its discharge into the Gulf of Mexico. Three Forks is part of the Bozeman, MT Micropolitan Statistical Area of approximately 100,000 people and the greater Bozeman demographic area of approximately 125,000 people.

Stopped in for lunch. We both had the Thai chicken and rice soup. Really good. Giant bowl for $5.50. For $3 more you get a grilled cheese sandwich with real cheese, not the fake cheese spread stuff. Food was great, service great. Bought some flour and hot dry rub, also. Really nice experience.

We were here for lunch last year and were blown away by the amazing food. After staying at the Sacajawea Hotel, we decided to try their breakfast. They were busy and only had one waitress staffed. We were seated and waited an hour for our breakfast. Coffee refills were difficult to come by. Three of us ordered "Magas" for breakfast. We were not disappointed. I appreciate the attention to ingredients with all of their food. It was worth the wait. Service is slow, food is over the top! Highly recommend if you have time on a Sunday morning. We will come back. The food is an absolute unexpected cornucopia of delight!

nice place for a sugar FULL breakfast - their normal breakfast choices were limited and not that good. but the pastries.. OMG - they are very good - must check out the day old stuff which is bargain priced and still very fresh. the folks that work there were very pleasant as well.

love the ribs at Willow Creek Cafe. This is the only place I have visited that puts a wonderfully flavored mustard sauce on their ribs. Would take a few racks to go and somehow manage to skip the free hotel waffles, reheat the ribs for a short blast in the microwave and smile my way thru breakfast, they are that good plus it is a quaint town, nice ride from Bozeman for dinner..

The Three Forks Café is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Their have a strong menu with a lot of options and they serve breakfast all day long. The portions are ample and the prices reasonable. The rolls are homemade and most of the menu items are as well. Their bread pudding is a real treat; made from their homemade rolls. I'm a biscuits and gravy lover. Theirs are the best around! I also highly recommend the Club and French dip Sandwiches. You really can't go wrong with anything they serve.

Coming back from Butte, a dinner stop at Pompey's Grill in the Sacajawea Hotel. Excellent for all occasions, but often we figure out something to celebrate, so no need to worry about our budget.
Excellent service, ambiance inviting. Particularly like the 'lighted' menus for my eyes...
An indulgence well worth the drive. Try the coconut cream pie-concoction. I do not like coconut cream pie, but this... this is something truly amazing. So glad it is still on the dessert menu.
Wonderful dining experience. They had a huge wedding reception outside, yet no falter in our service or food inside the dining room. I do like this place.

We were just traveling through and decided to stop in Three Forks for dinner and picked Stageline Pizza. We really enjoyed the pizza. The crust and ingredients were very fresh. The service and friendliness of the staff was great. If we are ever traveling through the area again this is a definite stop. The side salad was quite large and very fresh. I would definitely recommend this place.

If you fancy something a bit different to the normal offering, I recommend this Chinese opposite the Sacajawea Hotel next to the Wolf Den.
It's a very low key family restaurant, popular with locals and takeaway. Decor might be mismatch and dated but the food is yummy and freshly made.
They do a good range of those Chinese family favourites and the portion sizes are good. I recommend the Mongolian Beef and pork fried rice.
Drinks are in cans, so don't go expecting refills.
You may have to wait a little longer than usual for your order if they have a number of takeaway orders - but don't worry, it's worth waiting for!

Had to wait a little bit before I was helped. The one worker that was out front was cleaning and kept cleaning instead of letting another worker know that I was waiting. Another worker happen to come out front and immediately helped me. The sandwiches were good.
