The restaurant was founded in August 2008 and the bib and 'situated in a strategic area of the waterfront of Terrasini, just at the point where starts and runs towards the marina.Terrasini and 'a small town a few kilometers from the international airport "Falcone and Borsellino", overlooking the Gulf of Castellammare and enjoys a remarkable flow of tourists.The restaurant 'consists of elegant and comfortable single room on the ground floor, a Terrace and summer kitchen upstairs.

Not sure how this restaurant made it in to the michelin guide and we had a very disappointing dinner.
Absolutely no character in the solitary dining room that you enter straight off the street; bright impersonal lighting and a totally uninspired food offering. Despite having pre-advised one of us was vegetarian, I received tastless lettuce leaves with boiled carrot slices ; an awful dish of potato with lentils that made me fell ill, and cheese slices as my third course !
My partner was equally disappointed with his meal and left concerned that he may have been poisoned by some prawns that tasted out of date. There is nothing remotely gourmet about the food or the service and even the sat nav battles to get you out of this souless town so my advice is stay in Palermo and don't venture near Il Bavaglino.

We were booked a table on a recommendation from our hotel, and we're not disappointed. Restaurant only opens at 19:30, and fills up very quickly, booking recommended. Parking around the area is tricky, we ended up parking a 10 minute walk along the Promenade away.
Service was good, waiters could speak English. Menu is mainly seafood, steak and pasta. We were seated upstairs on a patio with lively sea views and a light breeze which helped for the heat. We watched the sunset, which was magnificent.
For starters I had raw shrimp with an orange juice and ginger dressing. The shrimp were beautifully sweet, at €17 pricey but I really enjoyed it. My husband had the John Dory starter with almonds which was sublime. For mains I had Linguine with scampi, made beautifully, with 3 langoustines on top. My eldest daughter had fried calamari and shrimp which was tasty and not chewy. Our youngest had macaroni with beef rage which she loved. My husband had the giant prawn Indian curry which he stated was the best prawn curry has had in his life, beautiful flavours, and fragrance without being spicey.
With soft drinks, a beer, half a bottle of wine and ice cream as desserts our bill for a family of 4 came to €170. An absolutely lovely meal with perfect surrounds, and attentive wait wrong staff, highly recommend.

Locals eating here is recommendation enough for this unfussy, busy trattoria. The seafood is uber fresh, the Sicilian platter we ordered for starters was extremely tasty and sword fish mains I had was tender and scrumptious. The red house wine (served chilled) is nothing special - there's no fancy wine list as it's not a top class restaurant after all - and the waitress managed to mess up our order for water, bringing us fizzy instead of still. But the service overall was friendly and efficient making for a very pleasant Sicilian eating experience!

We went here last week for our anniversary dinner as its close to home and was something different to the normal Italian food choices, and we were not disappointed. From the moment you arrive to find a nice clean well done Mexican style themed restaurant that is still modern, to a huge menu choice and good drink selection. We had the shared dish .'fajita de Amor' and we were not disappointed, well cooked and ingredients were fresh and delicious. Throughout the evening we had wonderful service from the staff, food arrived in good timing and overall everything couldn't be faulted. 5/5 for everything. You know when a restaurant is good when on a weekday during low season in a seaside town it is full by 9pm! Make sure to book and I'm sure you will have a nice Mexican experience in the middle of a sicilian town :-)

We had a nice evening of San Valentine in this restaurant. We decided to order two different plates to taste: the first one was the abundant plate of pasta with the fruits of sea and another one pizza. The plate of pasta was gorgeous abundant and cooked perfectly and the dough of pizza was thin with the savory candying. I think we will come back again in this restaurant to taste some second dishes from menu which made us curios.

I tried this restaurant based on the excellent reviews and was extremely disappointed. The food was average at best although the clams with fettuccine were very numerous and extremely fresh. The flavor was quite bland compared to other dishes of vongole I have had all over Italy. The price was average as well. The issue was that this is a place for the local fishermen and younger, less well mannered people to 'hangout'. Shortly after I sat down, a very drunk young man came in and was constantly talking at the top of his lungs annoying everyone in the restaurant. A young couple with a very young daughter was visibly upset and uncomfortable. Instead of removing the drunk person who wasn't ordering/eating, the manager came out and sat with him while he continued his very loud rant and tried to engage him in conversation. He verbally attacked three men at the table next to me for almost 30 minutes. I couldn't wait to leave and almost left without being served or paying. The other staff members only laughed at the drunk young man rather than tending to the issue and creating a comfortable dining experience for paying customers. There are too many fine restaurants within one or two blocks of this place to have to be subjected to this gross type of mismanagement. I would suggest you avoid this place and try another nearby.

Typical Sicilian food, condiments are made at the time in all their freshness. Busiate (fresh pasta) are our strong point, condiments for most fish provide a unique taste and the Mediterranean. The pizza and 'cooked with wood and long rising and the toppings are all of excellent quality'. pizza more 'popular remains the Margherita with buffalo mozzarella DOP and fresh basil and a drizzle of' extra virgin olive oil.

A restaurant with a service, food quality and taste, attention and pocket friendly like no other. You must try the Spaguetti al Gambero Rosso and the Cozze a la Gorgonzola, my favorite among all the dishes in the menu. Anyway, any choice will make you happy. Exquisito.!

What a spectacular place! We popped by on a Tuesday afternoon as they were oganizing a private event. It was a hot summer day and the management was sooo nice to offer us to prepare lunch, even though they were officially closed and busy. Food was wonderful, perfectly balanced dishes, full of taste and executed to perfection. The location is simply amazing, by the sea, amidst a tropical garden. The owners and staff were extremely kind and attentive, it was indeed a very special meal. Thank you for making it possible.

I've being going to Palazzolo for the past 30 years having a summer house in nearby Terrasini. Avoid food, drinks, ecc. all good but 'normal'. Sicilian pastries and torte gelato (ice cream cakes) are the real deal here. In random order: cannoli, sfincia di ricotta (fried sponge with ricotta cheese), strawberries pastries, chocolate cakes, torta settimo cielo (heavenly chocolate cake with ice cream and cereals) are absolutely the best. This place would get 3 michelin stars if you were to assess it only the quality of these pastries. Great value for money (pastries for 8 hungry people would cost you roughly 20-30 euros). Strongly recommended.

It was a bit hard to find this place, due to the address on the TA page being a bit weird and wrong, and the pin on the map even more wrong... but thanks to the lovely couple that was walking by Lungo Mare Terrasini, we somehow managed to find the place.
As true meat lovers and gourmans, we were devoted to finding a great place that serves good meat meals, and Maliby Grill seemed like a perfect place for that. Turned out it was more than a perfect meal!
First we got a little starter, croches and mozarella Sandwich and two chips like things, really put our hunger to a higher level! It was a sign nothing can be wrong about this place.
We ordered pork grill and burrito. We were advised that the pork grill is made for 1 person, but indeed it was HUGE! 3 pork neck pieces, 3 salsiccia pieces and 3 asparagus rolled in bacon... with salad on the side, a lot of salad. The portion was enourmous :) ...but the meat so fresh, tender and well done... we left nothing on the plate! :) Burrito is just like you are in the mexican restaurant, even better maybe. All so per-fect!!!
The staff is very polite, tho weightress does not speak english, but speaks volumes of politeness :) Prices are a bit high at the first glance, but when you get your plate... you understand why its like that. Nothing is high about it, but the pleasure you get for your money!
Try hard to find this little gem if you love good meat. You cant find better than this in Terrasini! BIG recommend!
Ps: the location is just across the walking zone by the sea (lungomare), in a small street right next to the fun luna park!
