Fast service, and good food at a local mom and pop place. Brisket and pulled pork were both tender and delicious, beans and potato salad were good, as was the fried okra. I regret not asking if they have bbq sauce for sale because it wasn't the same tomato based sauce you get at most places. It was really good! Bring your appetite because they bring you a very generous serving of food. Highly recommend!

Isabella Station

Reviewed By Poleinahole - Chicago, Illinois

We are here as part of a conference group for lunch.

Service was terrific. Our orders had been sent in in advance and were ready as we walked in. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

They don't have a large menu and it is Southern comfort food. Not much for vegetarians on the menu but I am sure they can come up with something as they aim to please. The food is okay but not exceptional. Prices reasonable for what you get.

The restaurant is in an old cotton warehouse near a railroad crossing. They could have made more of the decor but it is fine with some nice touches such as photos of local landscapes taken by the owner.

The desserts are popular and sell out fast. We had the key lime pie which was ok.

They put on a more upmarket experience for dinner but the restaurant is currently only open on Thurs, Fri and Saturday for dinner.

3 Squares Diner

Hubby and I stopped in for late breakfast while passing through Sylvester on Thursday afternoon. Three Squares was all decked out in 4th of July decor - really cute. The staff was friendly, and we were seated immediately.

We nearly fell off our chairs when we saw the menu prices - $2.79 for two eggs, toast and hash browns. A plate of sliced tomatoes is 99 cents, and coffee is $1.49. That's where the good news ends.

I asked about the corned beef hash breakfast but opted against it after being told it comes from a can. I ordered a tomato omelet with wheat toast and hash browns @ $4.84. The portion was large and the food arrived arrived steaming hot.

Unfortunately my food had absolutely no flavor. The eggs were grilled in flavorless oil, there was no seasoning, and the tomatoes weren't ripe enough to have any flavor. The hash browns might have been fried in vegetable oil - tasteless.

We had to request real butter for toast instead of margarine, which was brought out half melted and scooped into a bowl. Only fake cream for the coffee was served, made of water, corn syrup, and hydrogenated palm kernel oil.

Nice ambiance, nice staff, nice prices ... really bad food. No thank you.

Nether's Restaurant

This is a well established local restaurant that came highly recommended by locals. We had a copy of their menu at work so we took lunch orders and drove over and picked them up. The food was fresh and very good. You get 3 sides and toast with your order so be hungry. This is a definite go to place to eat or takeout.

I reviewed this under their old name Isabella's. Trip Advisor finally straighten things out and they now have it correctly listed. This is a local eating establishment. I was working in this area and was told by several folks to eat there. It's not fancy. The food is very good and affordable. I posted pictures under Isabella's and have requested the pictures be posted here. I recommend eating here. There is no menu you eat what they offer on that day.

Old Mexico

Delicious! I haven't had REAL Mexican food in a long time...I mean, WHITE QUESO! Most places only have yellow. I asked for a recommendation since I've never been and my server made serval yummy sounding suggestions and I went with the steak tacos! In Texas we refer to them as "street tacos" and these were the real deal.
Everything was good. From the fresh, crispy chips to clean restrooms to friendly, inviting staff. I highly recommend Old Mexico!

When we walked into the restaurant we were greeted with happy smiling faces. That is such a difference from so many fast food places. Made us feel like they were interested in giving good service. So many fast food places these days the workers act like they don't care. The place was clean and the food was hot and tasty. I told the General Manager Geraldine how much I enjoyed being in her place.

We stopped here to take a break from fast food chains and were happy we did. We got tuna subs and the bread, the tuna, and all the veggies were delicious and fresh. The staff were friendly and the place was spotless. You could even smell the faint aroma of bleach in the restrooms which were also spotless.
