Happy Donut

Reviewed By Raymond M - Garland, Texas

The locals recommended it, so we tried it. Great donuts and friendly staff.

The donuts are made fresh every day (of course) and the recipe they use lends itself to light, fluffy dough- and not so sweet you can’t eat them.

The favorites of ours were the maple bar and apple fritter :)

Legendary Doughnuts

It's located in the Top Foods shopping Center. We visited there from Ohio, on the recommendation of a friend - absolutely the best donuts I've ever had!

Reviewed By Sarah R

It was such to peek in the glass cabinet holding all of the gorgeous donuts. It was hard to choose. We settled on a maple bar. It was so big compared to grocery store donuts and extra thick. Recently I had a football shaped football--so glad that there was no filling!

Crockett's Public House

Reviewed By clarkbar32017 - Federal Way, Washington

Arrived there at 11 am and was told there was a 25 min wait but seated after 20 min. I ordered corned beef hash and my friend ordered crab hash. Both were delicious. The corned beef was pulled from a roast (not canned) and the potatoes in both hashes were newly fried. Poached eggs on top were cooked perfectly with the yolks still soft. Service was exceptional even though they were very busy, as always. One criticism is the noise level. It was so loud that I couldn’t hear what my friend across the table was saying. I’ve eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here and the food is always great.

Windmill Bistro

Reviewed By GardenR - Lake Tapps, WA

After years of living in the area and never managing to try Windmill Bistro, My husband and I have eaten their food twice in two weeks.....and now know we want to go back often! Two weeks ago we went for lunch. I had a combo with half a chicken walnut wrap and a small roasted butternut squash salad. ($13) Both were yummy. My husband had a Dungeness crabmelt with fries ($15), also great. There was a lot of crab in the melt, and I especially craved his fries, stealing as many as he'd allow.....crispy on the outside and tender on the inside....just about perfect! The food is a bit pricy, but the quality is high and portions are just right.

A week after our first lunch there we went for a friend's private event. They had set up a little buffet in their separate building. It was really nice for a small event, looking onto the garden, and service from the wait staff to set up the buffet, clear plates, clean up, etc. Food was excellent and nicely presented.

Ambiance is pleasant, even in the winter, when the garden is dormant, but will be really gorgeous in the spring and summer, as the gardens are tended by the nursery which is part of this little complex. Even when busy it was still tolerable noise levels (and I cannot talk over loud places). Tea lovers should also head over to "Tea Madame" in the same complex....it's worth walking around before or after eating to see the little shops and the nursery. There is ample free parking in their lot, though overflow will be in the gravel part. Note that for the winter the Bistro does only lunch M-F and brunch on weekends. Definitely recommended.

Love this restaurant. Absolutely everything I tasted was excellent. The Apple and Goat Cheese Bruschetta was delicious, as was the Crab Manicotti and the Gnocchi with a Vodka Sauce. Deserts are all made on site. One table next to us came in just for dessert. We sampled the homemade Gelato and it was truly the best I've ever had. This is a small restaurant with a very comfortable atmosphere, great food and excellent service. I will go out of my way to return to this place on my next trip to Washington.

Toscanos Italian Grill

Cozy Italian seafood & steakhouse with full bar, warm lighting & outdoor seating with mountain view

Reviewed By Ken L - Auburn, Washington

We went to Tuscany’s tonight for dinner. Although we have been there before we don’t frequent there. We have a 20 dollar off coupon for our wedding anniversary. The wine was good, my wife had the artichoke stuffed chicken and I had the chicken Parm. My wife really enjoyed her meal, my chicken parmigiana was burnt and over cooked. My wife said I should send it back but I was hoping it was just the cheese that was burnt. There was a cooking class in the main part of the restaurant so it was pretty busy. The service was slow, really slow, but with the crowd in the other part, maybe it was too be expected. I am still waiting for that “wow” meal but will have to keep waiting. The food, ambience and service is good, just not great

The Secret Garden Tea Room and Gift Shop

Reviewed By Ronda O

A friend and went here for lunch yesterday. It was like walking into an old English Tea Garden. They made us feel very special. We were able to take our time, no pressure to clear us out. We both started with individual pots of tea. We then had a cup of the soup of the day, which was chicken with rice. Yummy, but a bit on the salty side. Both had salads, I had the Asian Chicken salad, which was good, but not extraordinary. My friend had the house salad, but added chicken to it. Both were served with a warm scone and butter. They have a cute gift shop that was nice to browse before or after the meal. Will definitely return!
Be sure to make reservations . This is a very small restaurant.
