We have been here many times for breakfast or just coffee. This is a great coffee spot. This time we went at dinner time. Dinner is a bit pricey for what you get but the food is good.
Ordered the apple and caramelized onions grilled cheese. It was delicious. I look forward to getting it again.

I go to the Starbucks in Storrs regularly and while the service is excellent, the lines are often very long and slow moving. Starbucks is full of UCONN students and EO Smith students so it gets very crowded frequently. I wish this Starbucks had more baristas and I would love a drive-thru.

These bagels are so delicious! Much tastier and softer than I was expecting coming from a chain restaurant. They make the bagels fresh in store every day. Large selection of yummy cream cheeses too! Bagel sandwiches are fantastic. The store also shares the space with Jamba Juice. Definitely coming back!

I know this place is really the only game in town but it is pricey so I expect good food and good service. When I pay this kind of money I expect to be treated like I am the only one there. I took my family there to celebrate my sons 18th birthday because he is a UCONN student I made the reservations and I told the person taking the reservation that it is my sons birthdays so I want a cake with a candle and a birthday song. We got seated and it was quite awhile before our waiter came to our table. We ordered drinks and sat there another 15 minutes for our drinks to come. Dinner was over and our water glasses were never refilled. The waiter offered to us to see the desert menu and that is when I said hey didn’t you get my order? Every time something went wrong the waiter blamed someone else. I asked for grated cheese. A new hire came by and gave me grated cheese and left without giving grated cheese to anyone else. Again he blamed the new hire. My question is this. My table was not the responsibility of the new hire. It was the responsibility of my waiter. Anyway I give this place 3 stars. Food is ok. A little overpriced but the wait staff really needs to go back to school.

When I saw the sign in the window of this college-town shop, I wished I'd chosen my university better - getting warm cookies delivered as late as 3AM? What does it matter what your major is or whether it's a good school - warm cookies, delivered! My grown daughter tells me "it's a thing", now, so while not unique to this location, it's SUCH a great idea!
I didn't need delivery, and it was closer to mid-day than the middle of the night, but I was intrigued and wanted to try it out. The young woman working there could not have been more perturbed! Whether she's just naturally unpleasant, or if I'd disturbed her conversation with the two young men in the shop (who weren't buying or eating - not sure if they were co-workers or not) she was impatient bordering on rude.
I took 3 cookies to go - one to eat warm, one to share, and one for later. They were delicious, and while very expensive, they are large cookies. And while other reviewers call them "underbaked", I like the crisper edges and softer middle.
Great idea, yummy cookies, yucky help.

Newer DD somewhat on the smaller side. Had the usual variety of donuts and coffee flavors. Service was fast like all other DD's.

Chain pizza places are to be avoided in my experience, but Blaze makes a consistently well above average pie. The line moves quickly and after reviewing and choosing your toppings it takes about 8 minutes before you are walking out the door. These are personal sized pizzas, but if you like toppings this is the place to go wild since no extra charge on the usual
toppings. The one main charge is if you like a thicker pizza it is $2.00 more vs the very thin crust base option. I prefer the added dough. Blaze is where even a pizza snob will be hard pressed to find fault!

Came here recently with some friends for a birthday brunch because we heard it was "one of the best in Connecticut". We were seated (almost) immediately, no complaints there, and our waitress was incredibly sweet. I can't remember her name but the service was not an issue at all. However, the food was absolutely mediocre considering it's supposedly "one of the best" in the entire state. I ordered the biscuit and gravy expecting some next level deliciousness and was sorely disappointed. The biscuit (that's right, the lone biscuit) was stale enough to where I had trouble cutting it, even after it soaked in gravy for a while (which I'd like to add got cold before I could even get halfway through the dish-- cold gravy is NOT good). The gravy didn't taste of much and I'm pretty sure there were hot dog pieces in there with the sausage. This wasn't mentioned on the menu, I hate hot dogs, and it seems like a very cheap way around using a full serving of actual sausage. This dish also comes with 2 eggs; I ordered them scrambled and I got two strands of cold, flat, rubbery, tasteless egg instead. I could have maybe understood if it had been jam packed when we were in there but by the time we got our food it seemed like most people had already paid and left. Not sure what excuse there could be for freshly cooked food to have been sitting out long enough to get cold by the time we received it when there were so few others in there who were also still waiting on or eating their food. Maybe I should've just stuck to toast and butter. I hate to sound so bitter over a single meal but this place had so much potential-- the service was good, the atmosphere was nice, the place was clean, it even has so many good reviews AND it's close to UCONN, but for the expectations I had considering the reviews, I really highly expected better. It's not the worst place I've ever been, but it's absolutely NOT one of the best breakfast places in all of Connecticut either. Unfortunately, I'm not from the area so I can't recommend better places but I'm sure you can find something better pretty easily.
