I bumped into this place by occassion just passing by through Slany and looking for a good place to eat for weekend lunch with my family. I looked-up the reviews on TA and found this place. On my first visit I was very much content with everything. The food is great and the service was perfect. Next time I visited was about two weeks after and I must say that still the food was good, but the service was somehow delayed. I had to wait for an hour for a regular menu meal which was very discomforting having my two small children with us. They were hungry and bored. Very bad combination... Nevertheless I give five points of excellence to this restaurant and hope it was just a bad day for the kitchen staff and the waiters.

I first visited "Motorest Vítov" a year ago and I was pleasantly surprised.
It is a small family restaurant with friendly staff and excellent service.
They specialize in Czech cuisine of quality raw materials at a reasonable price.
In addition to the permanent menu are weekly themed meals.
The most impressive meal I ate there is a 'Roast duck with dumplings and sauerkraut' and 'Tripe soup'
I'm looking forward for the next visit.

This is such a cute and comfortable spot to get coffee and breakfast in Slany. It is one of the few places where you can get some more Western style dishes if you're a little burnt out on European breakfasts (as we were at this point in our trip). The outdoor Seating is very cozy and the staff is very attentive.

Nice, modern resturant with typical Czech food and own beer and brewery. Kind of Potrefená Husa style of restaurant with very good food, alco/soft drinks and specialities of the season as well as burgers and pub specialities. Its usually crowded, so reservation is needed for dinners. Smoking/non smoking ares. Staff is nice and helpful, if not busy. A little bit far away from city centre. I would recommend to go there for lunch, dinner, beer or just nice time with your friends, family.

There are not many restaurants in this town, where you can go for solid dinner and spend some time with your friends or business partners in a good looking place. Shock is one of them, but even this place needs some renovations and improovments, mostly from outside. But location is good and there is almost no competition in city centre. Compared to Prague restaurants with same style it doesnt stand a chance, but in Kladno it is number 1.

Well there is not much to tell about this place. It simply offers excellent Czech cuisine and if you want ot get something special do not forget to order "Karlovarske knedliky". You will certainly enjoy it. Service and price are quite OK. And of course you cannot forget to taste all home made spirits and liquors produced in this place.

Kdysi jsme tudy pravidelně projížděli do svého především víkenkového sídla a když se nám tam cokoli stalo s čerpadlem, navštívili jsme sousední specializovaný obchod. Tehdy se ještě v této lokalitě nedalo ani slušně bydlet ani se slušně najíst. Dnes již ano.

Where better to have lunch than a small cafe off the beaten path? This little cafe located just a few blocks from the chaos of the main square was a pleasure to the tired tourist. Our party of four ate outside under the shade of a great umbrella. We were seated quickly. Before we had our menus, our waiter was ready to take our drink orders. The variety of beers was very good. Just try a half liter of the dark brew! Menu had nice salad options. The appetizers was great options if a full lunch was not what you were looking for. I tried the spicy beef goulash with rice and was very satisfied. Prices were reasonable. Just as we were getting ready to leave, the skies opened up with the extra added attraction of thunder and lightning. Our waiter was quick to encourage us to stay until the storm passed. Nice touch. The jazz music selection wasn't bad either! Man cannot live on Mozart alone can he?

Pessoal mal encarado e pouco atencioso.
Pedimos um cardápio com perna de ganso, estava horrível, uma parte mal cozida e outra queimada, estava boiando em gordura. Um repolho horrível e um tipo de pão péssimo.
Não recomendo
