The restaurant is located near the entrance of Shimabara castle. You can enjoy Shimabara's local food, Guzouni. There is similar food, Zouni in Japan, nation wide. The differences are more things inside such as mashroom, vesitables, chicken, seafood etc. Also, in Shimabara, they have it all the time although we usually have Zouni at new years. Good taste.
You must try it when you are in Shimabara. It said that this food was born during Shimabara Rebellion in 1637.

This restaurant was recommended by friend in Shimabara on the way from Nagasaki to Kuomamoto. You can order the fresh live seafood next door and specify the way it will be cooked. We got ten oysters, a medium size lobsters, shellfish and two fishes. Fresh food need to be paid with cash before the restaurant cooks them. Other items on menu include tempura and fried chicken set.

The old house with spring was renovated to the cafe. Its very calm and relaxing with local sweet - Kanzarashi.

Near Minami Shimabara station. You can enjoy ver good seafood with very reasonable price. Sashimi set and seafood bowl are high recommend. Nice view from terraces when it's a beauty day.

Renovated to a cafe. In the cafe, you are still able to see the antique goods and it reminds us that this used to be a barbershop.
You can have Shimabara's local sweet, Kanzarashi and Nagasaki's local sweets, Milkshake ice cream. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxing.

お昼ご飯で行きました。
かつ専門のレストランでいろいろメニューはありました。
今回は濱かつ定食を食べました。
かつは柔らかく美味しかったです。
キャベツ、味噌汁、ご飯のおかわりは自由で、
良かったです。
コスパもよくオススメです。

寿司屋なのにちゃんぽんの昇り❗中に入るとうなぎの寝床のような店内？寿司が大好きで、がんば箱寿司を食べようとやって来たが河豚が無し❗しゃ～ないからちゃんぽんにするか～と思った所に、六兵衛？六兵衛って何？女将さんに聞くと芋の麺であっさりスープです、と聞き一か八かでオーダー❗出て来たスーブは何と上品なアゴだし旨い❗島原名物の具雑煮より俺はこっちがいいね～でも帰りに土産屋に寄って具雑煮のパック買って帰ったけどね(笑)

島原市万町商店街アーケード内。アーケードの商店は閉まるのがとても速く、暗くなるとネコだけが闊歩している雰囲気。
島原の食材を中心とした料理。フグの湯引きは、グニュっとした触感がちょっと苦手だった。やはりフグは薄造りの方が良いと実感した。車海老とカマンベールの天ぷら（五島塩とカレー風味の塩、天つゆ）
豚足、焼き空豆、玉子雑炊、鶏雑炊（鶏肉餃子が入っていて美味）
