Family on our way back to Houston from San Antonio, but passed all of the Mexican food restaurants I wanted to go to. I looked up best restaurants of Seguin, TX and this place came up #1. Boy, do I know why. From the service to the food, this place was off the chart. The salsa was one of the best I've had in years served with thickly cut chips! The large queso was enough to feed 4 people. The flour tortillas were so fresh and huge!! The enchiladas were the bomb!! Our waitress even packed us a bag with more chips, tortillas and salsa to take home. All food items were so affordable!! This will be our new stop from this point on our way home from San Antonio!!!

The need for a quick breakfast and liquid refreshment led us to this wonderful place for breakfast. Even though we are not coffee drinkers---but there was plenty there to enjoy-- we enjoyed a fresh breakfast sandwich and cold iced tea before hitting the road. The sandwiches were excellent, and the breakfast pastry will warm up nicely later. The service was more than excellent as well. We will stop again when in the area!

Nothing beats grandma's cooking, but this gets pretty close. Outrageous chicken friend steak. Fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Great breakfast choices. Friendly and fast service. Better be hungry for they give you "HUGE" portions. I did not expect this in a little town.Thank you for eating with us and the great review. I am sorry to say that we do not do Breakfast except for private parties. We do have a great menu of scratch food items. We've been open for over 11 years now.

This Dairy Queen was fast and friendly! Was very clean too! My husband and I both got blizzards and they were well made with the toppings spread throughout the dessert. Although I am usually a little hesitant to seek out dairy queens in areas I don't know I was pleasant surprised!

My husband and I stopped in this little place for lunch after admiring the Guadalupe County Courthouse and downtown square in Seguin. We could not figure out why there were no men there. I guess it was because there was no beef (or BBQ).
They have a good variety on the menu: soup, sandwiches, wraps, and desserts. They offer 11 different sandwiches and 3 wraps. 4 of the offerings are veggies or cheese (grilled or pimento cheese). Turkey, chicken, pastrami, ham, portobello mushroom. They offers 4 salads and soup of the day. They also offer 1/2 sandwiches.
You may get your order to go or eat in. There are also a few tables outside.
I had an asparagus wrap. It was sooooo good. Grilled asparagus, romaine, sauteed mushrooms, tomato, and basil pesto. Corn chips and salsa were the side.
My husband had the paninni with salami, swiss cheese, roasted red pepper, spinach, and tomato on ciabatta. A bag of potato chips was the side. His was good, too.
The food is much better than expected in a small town.
They get pretty busy at lunch time, so they ask that you call in one day ahead for large orders.

I was happy to land at Kirby's... pullled right in and found a very nice staff and a great small town burger joint.
What I liked...
- Burgers were good and you can customize them in many ways... to your liking.
- Not expensive...well priced
- Friendly staff... it was busy and everyone was moving as fast as possible to get orders out...
What I didnt like... nothing to report here... i kinda wanted to eat more but was full
What to expect... read the reviews... have a burger, fries and a milkshake and expect it to be good... it most likely will be...

We stayed at the hotel next door and we're looking for Italian food. I got chicken parmigiana. It was pretty good, not great. It was more breaded than I like. The service was very good.

Not a bad restaurant overall I think they have played up the location a bit much and the food doesn’t necessarily match. Food was good but not what I was expecting for the location. I was expecting more steakhouse vibe vs sandwich and bar food. But they did have a variety of affordable selections. The building itself and scenery were fantastic. The massive deck outside and catwalk over the falls were a great way to view the river.

I had 3 meat combo of Turkey, lean brisket and sausage. Turkey had a nice flavor to it. Brisket, not to Smokey but was tender. I wish it had more onions. Also had a flight of beer, nice choices. Sits inside H-E-B store. Get takeout and bring home or to hotel.
