Each time I'm visiting Italy, I'm trying to come to Salsomaggior Terme especially to have a meal at Osteria del Castello. I'm always getting top quality food, excellent service and warm personal greetings from the owner. Caramelized onion and tortelli with truffle sauce remain may favorite. If you are in Salsomaggiore Terme or passing by, stop by Osteria del Castello for true taste of Italy.

Nice place specialised in different kind of goose dishes, but try also lardo with grilled polenta as a starter. Mezzalune with goose - must have. Very good service, special thanks to Alina. Дякую!

We have just eaten at this lovely restaurant and think it well deserves a review. This restaurant is in the most beautiful setting and very well run by the charming Gianni and Nicoletta.
Nicoletta says that it's just simple, local food but when the ingredients are great and it's cooked to perfection, you have the recipe for a delicious meal. And isn't it great when you come out of a restaurant feeling happy?

Sanelli had a number of flavors listed on their board, but it was difficult to tell what some of them were without a description or view of the gelato. The flavors were fine, but the gelato itself was a little icy in texture, which is what I expect more of ice cream than gelato.

I discovered this little gem on my last day in Salsomaggiore Terme and sharing a taable with an Italian friend I was introduced some local specialities which I wouldn’t have ordered without her advice. I savoured the gnocchi and ravioli half portions but was surprised by the cold vegetable soup..should have asked rather than assumed. Our lunch was leisurely and we enjoyed al fresco dining in the shade on a quiet sunny Monday

We serve the best food culture parmesan stuffed pasta, fresh and we produce, prepared with local produce. The menu varies according to the season, making you enjoy rolling all our delicacies. In winter, we propose anolini in broth, potato ravioli with truffles, dumplings, beef stew with polenta, Guinea fowl, tripe ... In summer, in addition to the constant and Florentine, grilled porcini mushrooms, fried and trifolatati. And 'possible to have the menu "measure" as needed, or just book the dishes of our tradition, the boiled meats and more.

I visited the Trattoria Ceriati with my wife and brother and sister-in-law as part of our long weekend in Salsomaggiore Terme to visit the Vernasca Hill Climb.
Inevitably the menu had lots of local speciality dishes, e.g. Parma ham and variants, but it also offered a wider choice including roast duck and some good grill choices. We had steak and lamb dishes, after starters of hams, anolini and fried pasta. All very good, as were the Valpolicella and Brunello wines we tasted. We were also the recipient of some sort of lethal cherry (?) liqueur, foc, which went down very well.
Lovely service, good location, perfect night. Well worth 5 stars. Recommended by our hotel, Villa Fiorita.

The staff is very friendly, but the new and main dining hall doesn't have a nice atmosphere. When you are hungry, the idea of putting a pizza on top of a pizza (Timocenko Super) seems good, but it is not. All dishes are well done, but very classical and without fantasy.

This little "delicatessen" was recommended to me by the Hotelier : I found a fantastic place where everything I tasted was superb !!! All home made delicacies from long time family recipes....not to miss if your near Parma !!!

We speak italian but we are not locals so they didnt treat us the same way, not served what they serve before meal ( small "canape", grisini), table worse in the restaurant, service slowest in the restaurant. Prices way to high for what they offer. Pizza is specific, sort of thick pizza on piece, not to fall on your head. So, by my opinion to pay 36 eur for 2 pieces of pizza, 1/4 l of frizzante, 1 beer, 1 tertible cake and worse than ever service is way to much. In short, you could do without it so. Not recommended.
