The food was seasoned well and the portions were quite large. Their salsa is some of the best I've ever had. The fish tacos were excellent. My girlfriend had the fajitas and loved them. The only negative: The waitress was new and really didn't know anything about the menu.

Lash's Restaurant

My parents, sister, brother-in-law, husband, son, and I ventured out to Lash's Seafood at Fisherman's Resort this evening. We were seated immediately and received 5 star service during our meal. The portions were large and delicious. I had the clam strips which were great. My husband had the grilled shrimp salad while my son had the chicken tenders. They enjoyed their meals, as well. My mom liked her whole catfish. My sister loved the stuffed crab and my dad and brother-in-law loved the all you can eat frog legs. I tried them and they were very tasty. We were all happy and full after eating at Lash's and will be back. The seafood and southern hospitality is just great here.

Fish Creel

Located in rural Anderson, Alabama, the Fish Creel is delicious! They have a daily lunch special throughout the week. Today's special (Thursday) was two catfish fillets, coleslaw, fries, hushpuppies, a piece of chocolate cake with white icing, and a drink for $6.00 (that price is including tax)!!! It was delicious. You can add a salad from the salad bar for $2.95, if you wish. Service was superb even though they were extremely busy. This is such a great family restaurant with friendly people and outstanding food. I highly recommend you try it if you ever find yourself in Anderson, Alabama.

Stanfields Steakhouse

Reviewed By n8urgrl2013 - Collierville, Tennessee

Since Daniella's in the Park wasn't open for the season, we had to find someplace to eat in Rogersville. We intended to eat at Fat Cat's for seafood based on TripAdvisor reviews, but when we drove by, there were only 2 men in there. We saw Stanfield's sign and their parking lot was full so we gave it a try.

Husband got the ribeye and it was cooked just the way he likes and was tasty. This means something because he grills his steaks at home regularly and seldom gets one out because he says his are better. He had a baked potato.

I got the real winner though: half a smoked chicken. I've never had anything so succulent. I don't eat chicken skin, but this was so light and crispy, I did. The meat was so juicy and the smokiness was just right, and quite frankly, the flavor was unlike
any I've ever had. I, too, had a baked potato: large and cooked through, but not dry.

Our server was attentive and the restaurant had just the right ambiance and activity.

Basket of hush puppies with white sauce is the very first food to hit the table!!! Our whole family goes crazy over these! We even order them by the dozens to take home. We eat here on a regular basis. The staff is super! We love Rhonda...she is the best. We have never had a bad experience or food here. We celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and family gatherings here. Highly recommend this little restaurant if you travel to Doublehead for a vacation or to the TN river, stop here for lunch special of meat & three or dinner of fried fish!! Oh and the dessert is yummy too

We tried Honeysuckle Cafe for a late lunch today and it was wonderful!

We were greeted warmly within seconds and seated immediately.

Our server, Levi, treated us like old friends and was a great source of information about the menu. His recommendations were spot on.

The meal was served quickly and both of us had delicious dishes.

We heartily recommend both the Brown Sugar Glazed Pork Chops and the Chicken Cordon Bleu as main dishes.

The sides were great, as well, and my wife's green beans and my fried green tomatoes were some of the best we've ever tasted.

We'll be back!

Picked up carry out since we were staying on vacation nearby. Very reasonably priced. Did have trouble finding a phone number for them to call in carry out. One number listed on their site was not the correct one and finally found another number which turned out to be the current phone number. They do need to update their website info.
