Remagen is a town in Germany in the Land Rhineland-Palatinate, in the district of Ahrweiler. It is about a one-hour drive from Cologne, just south of Bonn, the former West German capital. It is situated on the left (western) bank of the river Rhine. There is a ferry across the Rhine from Remagen every 10–15 minutes in the summer. Remagen has many beautiful and well-maintained buildings, churches, castles and monuments. It also has a sizeable pedestrian zone with plenty of shops.

Restaurant with authetic Libanese cuisine.
Warm welcome, excellent food, small and cosy place with a beautiful garden in the shade and an old historic vaulted cellar.
We were recommended the "Mäsa-Platte" for two persons and were told by the owner - a talkative but unobtrusive person - that this covers a lot of special Libanese dishes and as it would be a fairly large amount we should think over whether to order a main dish on top. And he was right, it offered enough for two persons. We recommend the garlic dip and the tabbouleh! By far the best we've ever eaten, even in the Middle East.
Good value for money, nice place to eat and drink (well assorted wine list) and very nice place to meet in summer, sitting in the garden and taking a walk on the banks of the Rhine with a view.

A really nice location on the Rhine river overlooking Nonneswerth and Rolandseck, downstream looking towards Remagen.
Whether you are fortunate enough to site outside on the Terrace in the spring / summer or inside in the high ceiling dining rooms, it is a very special dining experience for a reasonable price. For this reason we have come to this restaurant a number of time over the years.
Today we had the Roast-beef salad platter, and Piedmont truffle Tagliolini. Both were excellent and served with the freshly baked rustic bread, with virgin olive oil.
Service was smart and efficient. No complaints.

This most attractive building dominates the Market Place and rightly so. It is at the very hub of this beautiful village of Erpel. Sorry, we can't comment on the food. I'm sure others have done so though. Well worth coming over on the regular ferry from Remagen (3 euros return) to explore the narrow streets, after having entered through a short tunnel opposite the landing stage. Lovely and peaceful when we were there. Also the station, which is only a 5 minutes walk up from the left of Om Maat is very useful for any trips along the east bank.

Stopped at Remagen to tour the bridge museum and found this restaurant with a great view of what remains of the bridge and the river! Great service! Our party ordered the spargel soup, the tomato soup and the potatoe soup as starters all of which were good. The omlette with ham and cheese was yummy but the best was the flammkuchen with spargel, ham and cheese!

After Reading the reviews I expected something really sensational, but actually I was fairly disappointed. The food was really just ok. Wine was good and the staff were friendly. But first back to the food... everything was far too salty!!!! The moussaka had the most salt! The dish itself was good. It had the right mix of I gradients, had the right consistency... but was so salty that one couldn't enjoy it. Second was the Greek salad... also way, way too salty! Then last were the spanakokeftethes and the grilled octopus... not as bad as the moussaka and the salad, but still way too salty. And speaking of the grilled octopus... it was rather mushy. The head waiter explained to us that it is supposed to be that way, and perhaps he is right, but my experience in other (very good) Greek restaurants is that it should be al dente. I mean it should not be rubbery, but nice to bite into :-) ok, so in summary, nice people, tasty wine... but the food was not quite right. Drive to Essen and try Eleon in Rüttenscheider Str.... there you can eat really fantastic meze.

We were here several times during our trip to Remagen. Great location on Rhine Promenade so you can watch the boats go by as you sip your drink or enjoy your meal.
Staff friendly - even managed to cope with our pathetic attempts at German & Italian. Good food & reasonable prices.
Often busy with locals which is a good sign!

I have eaten at Uhrmacher's at least three times over the past 2 years, and have always been very pleased with both the food and the service. The menu changes frequently, and there is always something new and seasonal to try. The food is very good, and I prefer it to nearly all of the restaurants I have tried in Bonn. The decor is simple but elegant. Prices are reasonable given the quality of the food. My only wish would be for a more exciting and varied dessert menu.

DIe Erpeler Ley mit dem Haus Bergesruh ist uns seit Jahren bekannt.
Bei schöhnem Wetter - Vor allem an den Wochenenden "steppt hier der Bär".
Soll heißen: In der Woche und am Abend gibt es hier ein tolles Speiseangebot,
aber bei Hochbetrieb muß man sich auf lange Wartezeiten einstellen.
Einen freien Tisch auf der Terrasse zu finden ist reine Glücksache.
In der Hochsaison herrsch hier offensichtlich Personalmangel und die kleine Küche ist dem Massenansturum von Gästen leider nicht immer gewachsen.
Der Sevice ist freundlich und die Preise im mittleren Segment.
Wartezeiten kann man hier durch einen Spaziergang überbrücken - DIe Gegend ist toll. Wir bevorzugen die Abende und die Wochentage und waren bisher immer zufrieden.

This restaurant is very good. They serve excellent Italian food. Especially the Pizza is very tasty. The staff is very friendly and quick. You should make a reservation, because the restaurant is often very full.
Avoid the tables near the door, because the entrance space is very busy.

We called at lunchtime for cannelloni, pizza and a couple of glasses of wine. Espresso coffee afterwards. Our meal was served in good time and was of good quality. The restaurant was clean and pleasant and it's somewhere we would visit again if ever in Remagen.
