My favorite is the Old Fashioned doughnut. My husband prefers the apple fritter, heated with a bit with butter. You soon learn to show up no later than 9:00 or your favorite might be gone or you can call ahead and they will save some for you. If you want a filled long john, they will fill it while you wait The staff is super friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about them! It is just your basic down home place in a strip mall. They even have toys for the kids to play with.

Stopped for a late lunch , early breakfast on a snowy Saturday. The owner greeted us with a big friendly smile. Menu is simple with many great sounding choices. I had the open faced brisket sandwich. Very delish. My kids had a burger and a southern staple, biscuits and gravey! Nice to be able to avoid the chains and support a local business .

Just made my second visit to Benetti's Coffee and I highly recommend it. I was in the area in November '15 and back again this weekend. Very pleasant local shop with excellent brewed java. Nothing like the big corporate chains. Nice folks, large to-go cups, and a 5 star rating from this coffee lover!

We had to take friends to to Raytown to get a great old fashioned Milk Shake. Today, Nancy was quite busy with a lunch and desert crowd. It's a bit of a drive for us, but it's nice to share Nancy and her old fashioned Soda Fountain with others.

Crane Brewing Company

Reviewed By Carol D - Overland Park, Kansas

For beer lovers, you are in the right city with an explosion of microbreweries popping up in the Kansas City area. So much so that there are microbreweries going for a niche within the brewing community. Crane is opted to go the Sour beer route. I will be honest sours beers are not favorite beers, but it doesn't stop me from trying them and seeing if I find one that I do. At the time of our visit, there were four sours: Apricot Weiss, Kumquat Weiss, Grapefruit and Orange. Both the Apricot and Grapefruit made me wince (made the sour face). I liked the Kumquat the best probably because I felt like it was the most balanced I think in sour and taste that I found it refreshing especially on a hot summer day. In fact I took a bottle home with me. They also offered two IPAs, one standard and other with brett (wild yeast). The later produces a funky mixture of flavors. I sort of liked it, but I was wondering if it was so much as liked as my taste buds trying to figure out the flavors.
They do not offer flights options, but do offer full or half pours in globe glasses. Unlike some of the other microbreweries we tried this day, this is the brewery with a tasting room with assorted mismatch tables and chairs. The place also sells 750 ml bottles of their brew, along with assorted t-shirts, glasses and some bag munchies.

The Vegetable Pizza had an amazing amount of vegetables and my daughter was very pleased. The Triple Chocolate cake did not disappoint! So very glad we stopped.

The cafe is very cozy, not a large place just the right size. They have an outside eating area as well and on Friday evenings they have open mic night. The food is freshly prepared. We had the club sandwich with onion rings, chicken tenders with fries and everything arrived hot, was very good. The wait staff is very friendly.

I like this location best of the 3 ..... they have chicken if you want .... the fish , shirmp and desserts are very good ..... I know better then to go at lunch time if you dont want to wait .... it does get busy but that is the sign of good food //// the price is fair for good food and it is always hot and made to order .... I would like to see a cheaper drink option I know soda isnt that exspensive out of the tap so cut the price in half and that would be better . they do a buffet and have the obama room for large get togethers ... if you are in the area or make the drive it is worth it ..... half pound of cat with o-rings and okra ... thats whats for dinner

My first time visiting this restaurant. I was encouraged by the full parking lot but was immediately alarmed when upon entering the waitress/cashier pushed two menus our direction and gave us a head nod with the directive to "seat yourselves." We obliged but noticed many of the tables were dirty. The waitress/cashier cleaned our table and took our order. Breakfast should be really straight forward and easy right? I ordered the French toast scramble with EXTREMELY well scrambled eggs. My husbands breakfast arrived in short order. After delivering his breakfast the waitress went about taking orders and ringing out other patrons. It wasn't until she returned to refill my husband's coffee (several minutes later 10+) that she noticed she never brought my meal! She went to the kitchen and returned with my meal complete with the runniest eggs ever! It was then that the flies appeared. We were swatting our entire meal. Surprisingly, the food was "ok" (when it got right) I don't think we will ever return.
