This restaurant has previously been rated as "Very Good" but a recent change in the kitchen has caused some hiccups. It may take a little time for things to settle down (beautiful presentation but lacking a flavor profile to match). Regardless, the dining room is refined, the wait staff is beautifully trained and very friendly. It is one of our favorite restaurants when we need a quiet night out.

Pleasant spring evening, ate outside. No view to speak of but passing traffic. Gyros were quite good, portions large. Cannot recommend the taromoslata. Good and pleasant service.

I ordered the pork medallions with mushroom & cheese (maybe too much cheese) and potato croquettes, possibly a 9-. Although a very cool presentation. It was
typical heavy German food hard to get thru it all.
My boyfriend ordered the pork medallions & potatoes with what seemed like a pound of string beans that didn’t seem to go, unless you are a huge fan of string beans. A 7 at best.
The wait staff was very friendly however their command of English and our command of German was equal. So not so good..
Very good value for your dollar, cash only, menu only in German and hard to translate even online as the words don’t even appear.

Really good cheese cake, more than 70 (?) variations. Prices are o. k. The service is a bit slow, the coffee can be improved. Located next to the hill with the main attraction of Quedlinburg, the romanic "Stiftskirche" (collegiate church)- very good view..

Look out Kansas City and Dallas, you have a rival for the "best cooked steak". If you need red meat on your plate at dinner, then this is the restaurant for you. The preparation is superlative. In addition, dining in the Bier Garten during the spring and summer months is quite a relaxing experience. Good beef, good wine and a super friendly staff make this a place you should not miss!

We stumbled across this hidden gem completely by accident and fell in love almost instantly. The atmosphere is really romantic and cozy, the place smells beautifully and it is warm and welcomming. The staff was perfect and spoke fluent English, the food was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, in my opinion the ambiance is best experienced over dinner.

The food is bland and prefabricated. At least they reheated the food before it was served. The service is friendly though. We will never set foot in that joint again.

Cafe & Restaurant Am Finkenherd

I found out after visiting finkenherd that it's competition is across the road at cafe Vincent and both specialize in cheesecake. Anyway we stopped in here for a coffee, it's quite a nice interior, it's kind of rambling and over two floors. We were sat at the window with a nice view. The tables and chairs seem to be original arts and crafts style which was nice.
My wife ordered the special festive cake, which looked like a chocolate mouse cake but was actually made with poppy seeds and a nut cream and covered in chocolate icing. It was actually particularly good, the poppy seeds made it light and and tasted very nice.
I ordered the gooseberry cheese cake with snow as it was described by our waitress, which was a baked meringue on top of the cheesecake. This was quite nice, gooseberry's are normally very tart, but they seemed to have managed to balance the number they used with the amount of sugar.

Where did they get that photo? It's much nicer than an array of garbage bins! A good place for a copious selection of ice creams and drinks. Nice courtyard atmosphere on a main pedestrian drag. Service friendly.
