Poza Rica (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈposa ˈrika]), formally: Poza Rica de Hidalgo is a city and its surrounding municipality in the Mexican state of Veracruz. Its name means "rich well", because it was a place known for its abundance of oil. In this century oil was discovered in the area. It has since been almost completely extracted. This has resulted in the decline of oil well exploration and drilling activities, though there are still many oil facilities.

This small restaurante is manage by its ownwer a young chef that cooks REALLY good. I was amazed by the fine touch and presentation of every meal... it is worth every penny you spend here, believe me!. I had entree (salad), octopus in garlic as main dish and a mango creme brulé... delicious meal in a very nice ambience... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Enjoy it!

I have been to the Dojo at least twice a month for the past couple of years. It is a nice break from Tacos and "European/American". Mostly, I eat at home. (We have a rented house here)
I must say it has always been a pleasant experience. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Only Spanish is spoken but you can get an English menu. The Spanish menu has photos, so don't worry to much about it.
The cold food is cold and the hot food is hot. The price is a bit high, but not by much. Mostly "California Rolls" are served, but once again I must say it is a nice break from tacos.
Most of the table have a Reserved sign on them, but don't be shy.... ask to be seated anyway.

Very good food, quite tasty and fresh. The Tuscan Tomato Soup was great and the seafood pasta was well loaded and with a nice spicy touch.

We ate here 2 nights. David - the owner - is extremely helpful and English conversant.
Very nice atmosphere - contemporary. All locals and a bit upscale. Many couples on dates.
Food was excellent - known for their chicken parmesan - which we really liked. Steak, shrimp, and fish were also winners.
Good selection of drinks and tequilas.
We caught entertainment one night (a decent gent playing the organ).
Overall a very nice experience.

me gusta el lugar como para ir a cenar con amigos y tomarte una cerveza y pasar un momento agradable
si vas por la noche no se me hace un lugar nada familiar o si tienes una primera cita tampoco ya que el alto volumen de la música o del grupo que esta cantando no te permite mucho platicar
las papas que venden son muy ricas al igual que las micheledas
es un lugar recomendable para pasarla bien

Everytime I visit Poza Rica, I always like to go by this little restaurant located at the corner of la plaza. My family loves it, food is good, service is great and we always have a good time. I've previously reviewed this place, and will review it everytime I go, because I will be back. I loved my piña colada.

This is a nice economical restuarant with value for money. I like the taste of the overall items I tasted, the best part was seamless integration of Japaneese-Mexican flavor.
