Poros (Greek: Πόρος) is a small Greek island-pair in the southern part of the Saronic Gulf, about 58 km (36 mi) (31 nautical miles) south from Piraeus and separated from the Peloponnese by a 200 m (656 ft) wide sea channel, with the town of Galatas on the mainland across the strait. Its surface area is about 31 square kilometres (12 sq mi) and it has 3,780 inhabitants. The ancient name of Poros was Pogon. Like other ports in the Saronic, it is a popular weekend destination for Athenian travellers.

The fish tavern "Prima Sera" is located in Punda, the most beautiful area of the beach, which has kept as much as possible its traditional elements, whether they are houses, fishing boats or sailboats. The tavern is a combination of classic and modern with the nostalgia of the traditional cuisine and the personal "touch" of the owner. It is one of the oldest and best taverns of the island, which all the famous people go to eat and also simple visitors. Try the "delicious carpacio swordfish", grilled octopus, grilled squid and continue with the unique lobster with spaghetti 'PrimaSerra". And of course the enjoyment of such food would only accompany a wine equal in taste and quality. Our cellar is very updated and the owner will be happy to assist you in choosing the wine. For those who wish, accompany your lunch or dinner of beautifully cooked fresh fishes with chilled wine from our barrels or with our variety of starters, ouzo and tsipouro. From the sea we select the best fish and seafood, from the local fishermen of the island, and we offer them in as delicious and tasty as possible. It is advisable to leave some space to try the amazing pecan pie with ice cream. We are waiting to talk with you and offer you ouzo and raki, any hour of the day, before or after your walk on the beach with friendly and very affordable
Our favorite restaurant in Poros. The food is always freshly cooked and tastes great while the owner & his family are creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Giorgos and Cindy would love to welcome you to their taverna. Giorgos being a local fisherman and owner together with his dutch wife Cindy who is organizing the kitchen. They serve fresh local fish caught by family or Giorgos himself , lots of little appetizers , traditional greek dishes or meat from the grill? Open every day from 09.30 am to 01.00 am
Across the road from the sea this popular restaurant offers large amounts of tasty food at very reasonable prices. In fact value for money it was the best we found on Poros. Most restaurants on the island offer similar menus, this was the best we found for large portions at very good prices.

We stopped here for lunch one day after Reading the TA reviews. It was pretty quiet when we arrived but filled up quickly, so we knew it was good. We started with a delicious taramasalata and then shared a bureki - phyllo filled with seafood...MoreThank you very much for the nice review !! We wish you all the best .

I visited Olga's last night with my husband. Just across the Rd from the sea gives a lovely out look. The menu has all the traditional Greek dishes you would expect. I opted for beef stifado my husband the beef youvetsi. Both were cooked superbly and full of flavour, we were given some garlic bread and a fresh tomatoes salsa to start, this was also delicious. We washed this all down with a beer and a litre of house Rose and a large water. At the end of the meal we were given melon and a shot of alcohol. The bill was an unbelievable €26. Cant wait to visit again.

Best view on the island! Excellent food and service. No music, just enjoy the silence of the wonderful view. Try fish on the first table by the sea. Get there on foot, by car or your boat

We visited Petros Taverna whilst we were on Poros and were certainly not disappointed. The food was fabulous, freshly made every day. I had a gorgeous moussaka Monday lunchtime and when we visited Tuesday, they had made completely different food so I tried the green salad and an aubergine dish which was delicious. The staff, especially Sofia and her daughter, are brilliant and very friendly. They do beach service so you don't even have to move from your sun lounger. I cannot recommend this taverna enough. Definitely a five star!

A very nice Tavern with delicious meat food. The lack of any nice view is compensated by the "Platanos" old tree offering shadow to the tables.
