The bee line all around this taverna at Plaka, the capitol of Milos, sys it all. There are delicious dishes with local ingredients, daily specials, fish and vegetables. Service is fast and professional. The only drawbacks are the enclosed courtyard, without any view, plus the fact that the center of town is a steep climb up from the parking lot below.

Food was excellent and the service was great as well. We enjoyed it so much that we actually ate here twice. The suckling pig was my favorite but the roasted lamb and goat were good as well. All the ingredients are locally sourced and the animals come from the family farm. Really really impressed by the value and quality of the food. We would go back in a heartbeat and recommend to friends.

They mainly serve cocktails and small plates so it's not for dinner. However, to get a good table, you need to go early. The drinks are pricey so if you are into expensive drinks with a view, this is your place. If you just want to watch the sunset, go to the nearby church or the castle above. Free and just about the same view.
Wan to have dinner and a view? Head on over to Tripiti and have dinner at Ergina.
This MAY have a REALLY nice view of a sunset (kind of like Santorini because it is fairly high up, but NO not really like Santorini) but be prepared to cook while you wait for the sun to get low. The sun is intense. The service is slow. Prices are high. So if you must view your sunsets with tons of cell phones in the air to capture that special moment, by all means...
And if you are unlucky and have to sit INSIDE the bar, your ears will be treated to loud blaring music of various sorts. Annoying.
You know what I love about Milos? It's not too crowded, feels relatively "raw" in its beauty and this place just didn't fit for me.

It serves a variety of dishes of Greek and international quisine. It shares a small part of an area with "yankos souvlaki" but these two have totally different management and operation. We kindly ask you to create such a profile, so the reviews concerning servicing souvlaki will be transferred under that enterprice's profile in trip advisor.

It was during the evening of our first day at Milos that we had dinner at this restaurant. The moment we decided to walk in, it was very crowded. The waiters, though, took our order quickly. We loved a salad from the menu, the Cycladic, with marinated tomatoes and feta cheese. It was flavorful as well as the pasta we tried next. The Mafia with a spicy taste was a good choice for people who like sausage on their pasta. I appreciated that there was tomato sauce but also white sauce paired with some herbs on my plate. I liked it a lot!

We were looking for authentic " traditional " Greek food and, based on some reviews we read, this place looked like a good option. We were right, everything we had was just what we expected and the moussaka was divine. We did not have a reservation but a very short wait allowed us to grab the perfect table with both a view of the sunset and the church. The restaurant is not " fancy " ( it is more like a " family " run taverna ) but it is definitely one of the best on the island.

AND we were treated like royalty a few days later when we were just walking past to say hello! We ate the cheese wrapped in filo with jam, fresh seafood and wonderful wine. Everything was lovely. HIGHLY recommend.

To Diporto

The owner of the restaurant with great passion and love for cooking makes everyday dishes with fresh and local ingredients based on recipes passed down from generation to generation to the inhabitants of the island. The purity and quality of the materials that make up the dishes offered and the almost ritualistic procedures cook create a unique dining experience every time. The visitor is suggested to try the traditional Chalakiotiko goat in a pot that gets its name from the area of Western Milos mat. A special dish is even zigouri lemon in a pot. The Cycladic tomato and zucchini and Milea pies could not be missing even in the best case scenario. From salads try Milea beans and potato salad special and pure. The parsley salad only offer at this restaurant across Apple. The fried snails reflect the influence of Cretan cuisine.

You have great opportunity have your dinner or glass of vine with sunset. We have a Mediterranean cuisine, in which we brought some interesting improve, and we have good greek wines and beers. We have own farm, so vegetables, eggs, chikens and rabbits are ours, clean and healthy! So, we are waiting for you, our dear guests! If you boring and want something new, come! Here you'll find very different restaurant from all traditional greek taverns. Just try it! And who knows, maybe you'll back here many time more,as many other our guests!

The restaurant is located at the very small public square at the hills of Tripiti. Only a few tables with red cloth and candles. The setting is pittoresk and very romantic. From the square you have a uniquely view on the sunset. The whole place could be out of the film "Mama Mia"
The food is 100 % organic and most of the veggies are from their own farm at milos.
They serve only authentic Greek cuisine. Like the famous rabbit in dried orange sauce. (It is a Must try) or pork steak in caramel sauce. The wine list is not big but all wines are good choice. We tried nearly all!!
The service is very personal and friendly. This makes the stay there very comfortable and nice.
We come often to milos and like this place very much. The quality of the food was always very good. And the prices are very very moderate and reasonable.
For us it is the best restaurant at Milos. It can't be better.
Don't leave Milos without eating there one time.
