Deep-fried battered chicken breast nuggets were passed off as "Boneless chicken wings" for the special of the day.
Liver on menu, but no liver today... Peas and carrots are not low-carb, but no substitute. Small-town prices. Skip the "Sprecial" as it may not be what is communicated with the posted words. Should call it what it is: "Battered chicken breast nuggets."

Always have to stop here on our way up north and get a carryout soup. They have the best homemade soups around. The other offerings look very good, also. Someday I plan on having one of their salads and/or sandwiches.

My Sisters and I stopped for a quick lunch I had a hot dog and they split a chicken
sandwich. The drinks of coarse were A&W Root Beer Floats so good on a warm day
or any day don't miss them. Place is small and always busy but they move people in
and out fast.

We were told to find this brick building downtown Phillips for great burgers...We found it!!! Stopped in this past weekend with our grandkids for burgers and ONE OF THE BEST BURGERS we've had in a long time! 1/3lb burgers..cooked right in front of you! We ordered, bacon cheese burger, meister burger, mushroom swiss burger and chicken strip basket. The food was good quality! Will recommend to anyone in the area!

We all met early for a couple of drinks and conversation. Had our table reserved and all sat down for a wonderful meal. Drinks were great the fish fry and chicken done great. There were 9 of us and they had no trouble keeping up and keeping our drinks full. We really enjoyed our time there.

As an out of towner, we often come up on Fridays and head here for the Friday fish fry. It's quite good. The batter is light and a true 'beer batter' - the kind you don't get in Illinois ...
The sweet potate fries are nice. The beer selection is good.

Special orders don't upset her! She welcomes them. Gluten-free & vegetarian friendly. Mix & match from the menu while she makes your meal from scratch. Spunky sauces, perfectly cooked meat, crunchy little vegies tucked in...what's not to love? Thai-ish, Cuban sandwiches, BBQ, you name it they'll aim to please. Service is friendly, funny & informative through the window. Locals sometimes call their orders in ahead, so don't be surprised if someone picks up an order while you're waiting for yours. Don't fret. It's worth the wait!
MUST try the home made puffed caramel corn--perfectly crunchy, melt in your mouth, a titch of salt, sweet but not too much--and then enjoy the funky flavor selection!
If you don't want to eat in your car, head to the park & watch the water while you enjoy whatever succulent choice you selected for lunch.
The only thing I didn't like? That she doesn't have a sit down restaurant with a full funky menu. Or maybe that it's not close by because I would go often.
Ask about the logo while you wait ~ Lola & the rhino : )

The chili is fresh, meaty, unpolluted with elbow macaroni, and only 14 kidney beans per cup, perfectly seasoned. But the fried chicken will keep you coming back; have four pieces of your choice of dark or white meat. Intelligent help willing to negotiate small preferences, children, larger families. How they do such good food in so little time is an experienced cook with the right equipment and good suppliers. Real butter. Remarkably satisfying chili and chicken $8 with French fries, Saturday made very Special! Come cranky hungry, leave all contented replete.

Arrived around 1100 on a Sunday...Labor Day weekend....ordered breakfast...due to shortage of cooks the food arrived fifty minutes later...the breakfast was fantastic....hot, hot, hot food, everything cooked to order....service was great even though the place was very crowded....Jennifer, our server kept the bottom less coffee flowing while we waited for the food....it's a repeat place for sure.....
