Cajun Mike’s has wonderful authentic Cajun food. It’s a great cozy place with a quaint Southern charm! I live in Louisiana and I know first hand many places claim to have authentic Cajun food but this is the real deal. Try it.. you will love it!

My grilled tuna sandwich was outstanding. Juicy and pink in the middle. Very tasty. Nice low-salt fries too. My sister’s grilled shrimp po-boy was excellent as well. But I withheld the fourth and fifth stars because my wife’s grilled shrimp salad was a joke. About five measly specimens lost in nothing but romaine lettuce with some salty croutons. No excuse for this poor showing. Need some attention to your salad game, guys.

Great little soda shop. We did not eat here, but got ice cream one night and came back a second night for milkshakes. Employees seem happy to help and were great and interactive. Brings back memories of an old soda shop. Make sure you look around on the walls at all the different ice cream related memorabilia and ice cream related items on display. Really neat...Worth the stop for a quick and nice dessert stop on a hot day.

Apparently, there’s more than one of these in this area, and lots of folks know it, but for us, it was brand new… YUM YUM YUM!!! Great pizza, frosty pitchers of beer, delish margaritas, and welcome air-conditioning! The big pizza is a BIG pizza, so share it with your friends. The personal pizza is the perfect size for a hungry single, and SOOOO good! This location is easy to find, and once you step inside, you are cooled off instantly and ready to dive into a really great pie. Exactly what we expected, and nice folks that staff it as well! Want a good pizza? Here’s your place!

Selected this restaurant because of TA reviews. Was looking forward to shrimp and craw fish. There is little service, more like cafeteria style. You order (shrimp and crawfish) by the pound. Both were sitting out in trays behind the counter. The young lady behind the counter was very nice as she scooped up and weighed our two selections. They are served in large trays, had to ask for plates, silverware etc. was all help yourself.
They had to be peeled, so it was messy. They were dry and tough. We realized that we would still be hungry so we ordered a bowl and cup of gumbo which was good. For $40.00 we could have made a better selection. Not that bad but we would not return.

Sonic Drive-In

Stopped here for a treat, a “My diet can take a hike” chocolate milkshake. Whipped cream and cherry on top, about $4 with tip. Decent. Real ice cream, but not sure how many of the other ingredients are what you'd call "real" food. The new flashing video menu screens are irritating. But what is really seizure-inducing is the variety of drink choices (they’re up to 170 now). So, if you want an iced tea, will that be an Iced Tea, Lodge Iced Tea, Mountainberry Iced Tea, Mountainberry Lodge Iced Tea, Black Cherry Mountainberry Iced Tea, Black Cherry Mountainberry Lodge Iced Tea, or one of 43 other varieties of iced tea? Basically every choice has 4 to 6 sub-choices now - it's getting ridiculous and off-putting. It’s similar with milkshake flavors (there’s at least 25 flavors). If you narrow it down to chocolate, you’ve still got to choose chocolate, or hot fudge, or Oreo chocolate, with or without the 50 cent grotesque “flavor funnel” (should be called the “high-fructose corn syrup / hydrogenated oil” funnel, but that probably wouldn’t sell as well). Blasts are good but more expensive than milkshakes; basically a crumbled candybar on top of vanilla ice cream. Coming from I-59, take Exit 3 for US-11 toward Pearl River, cross the tracks onto Hwy 41 – it’s about 2 miles (5 minutes) off I-59.

We went to Southside for supper with some of Hubs business colleagues. The waitress was very friendly and helpful.
Hubs had the fried shrimp, oysters and fish basket with Mac & cheese. It was so much food he couldn’t eat it all. He also had the baked potato soup.
I ordered grilled tuna with Mac & cheese and salad.
This is good food!

This is our favorite breakfast place especially when traveling and they are everywhere! They are fast and friendly! My spouse always gets the waffle with bacon and I always get the all star special. This is the best value: 2 eggs, grits or hash browns, bacon, ham or sausage and a choice of several toasts or a biscuit. I get the waffle, always pecan, to go and eat it later on the road or take it home and cut it into 4 sections and pop it in the toaster.
They make the best basted eggs I have ever eaten. They always get them cooked just right! I have never gotten a bad meal at Waffle House except a couple times when I ordered my eggs soft scrambled. I think they are in too big of a hurry to cook them soft scrambled so I now order them poached or basted. The bacon is crisp and flavorful, the hash browns your way can be scattered, smothered, peppered, diced and capped and are delicious. You can also get them covered and one other way too. I will let you read the menu to figure this out. Their cheese (American) is not good, My spouse hates their coffee and that is the only negative. I drink coffee in my milk so cannot tell and usu just order ice water anyway.
Their friendly greeting is sometimes a bit startling first thing in the morning but it comes with the meal. Always order a large OJ bc it is the same price as a small. Double check first but it has been true so far.
The juke box is now gone and was fun and I miss the nostalgia! Noisy dish sounds but food is good! There are many more choices including steak, pork chops (yum) chili (yum) and burgers but we usually only go for breakfast. Their aim is to get you fed and out of there and on your way.
