Everyone likes a good story. This restaurant has one. The owner's father started the restaurant on a little cooking stove and made some wonderful hamburger mini meat loaves. Never sharing the receipe, the humble beginning led to a restaurant with national pedigrees and charming humility. The food is beyond amazing, The prices are fair, the wine list excellent, and the family (founder's son and grandson) great hosts. They drink with you, talk about the food, and are genuinely touched with your compliments. The owner was overwhelmed when we came back a second time in three days. We just shared our joy for his food and his family. He gave us gift bottles of raki and exchanged kisses with me on both cheeks in proper Greek style. We truly love these people and if winds blow us back to Crete, we would find the time to come back. Wonderful!

oh, we had a very tasty rizhotto wth the sea food, it was served very quickly and was very well cooked, .... it was late evening and there were not many people in the restaurant, but the atmosphere was nice and comfortable, everything was great... many thanks to all who work there and takes care of food and customers....

Great staff again a family run business, super food. Veal fillet with tomato to die for. Beautifully cooked. This restaurant is decorated quite unlike others, such fun to sit in friendly staff who always gave full attention. Raki or wine given at end of meal with surprise sweet, so kind. Not too expensive just very enjoyable meals.

Sitting right at the front overlooking the sea, little harbour and beach, great food, service and such friendly staff. Not as expensive as expected. We took just main course st night as bread is always served. Each restaurant gave us after main course, piece of cake, ice cream or fruit with Raki.

Its a nice place with tasty food and reasonable prices. Recommend it definitely if you come to Crete. In the old city's of rethumno. They are very welcoming people and kind.

Early season, so a bit quite. one other couple, another couple arrived later, plus two single diners...one of whom was a butcher, and appeared to have been before, which tells you something about the food here!
We had the fava beans with onion and olive oil and this was one of the best versions of this dish we've ever had.
Then meat balls to share...delicious seasoning and cooked beautifully. The chipped potato dish was slightly different from the usual standard chips, making a nice change.
Some people have mentioned slow service...it certainly isn't 'fast-food' here, which we personally prefer.
Lovely gentleman serving (owner?), who even helped a couple with travel advice around the area.
Great value and nice house wine.

Ate here for evening meal, family of 5.
Service so welcoming and food delicious and authentic. Daily specials, we really enjoyed lamb and meatball dish.
Greek salad excellent.
Setting perfect, peaceful and just of main street in Panormos. Felt like had space and was very chilled atmosphere. Families and couples around us.

This coffee bar is very famous in Rethymno, its the most popular for young people and its always full of people. Modern dance music plays loud in the evening and it is open until late midnight. You can try the salads or sandwiches and very good pastries!
