The restaurant has a friendly, almost cozy, atmosphere despite leaning towards being a "sports bar". A nice place for either a family dinner or night out with friends. Some of the dishes were a bit pricy (for example my pretty simple vegetarian pasta was 89kr) but otherwise fair. Worth noting that it can fill up quite fast on most weekends so making Reservations never hurts.

I would not say it's a top notch place. It's a typical pub place, with ambitions so to speak. The first time I had some kind of forest bird. The waiter gave me a warning that I might get some buck shots in the meat so "shew carefully". I got one buckshot and the meal was super good.
During my second visit I got quite disappointed. Not at all the same class and no buck shots. Lovely atmosphere and nice personnel. During my second visit it felt like the staff was standing on their heels, but it's definitely worth a visit.

The restaurant, both Terrace and inside are quite attractive and beautifully located at the waterside. We chose trout and steak. Well done, well presented. Rather straight forward prepared, but of very good taste. French fries and potatoes quite well prepared. Good glass of Chardonnay. Good espresso coffee. Very friendly staff, good service.

Lovely place, great staff and very good food! They have an italian-inspirerad menu with ingredients from local producers and farmers. Very high quality! If you visit Nyköping, you must try this place. It's awesome!

Delicious lunch and very friendly staff. We ordered the stuffed potatoes, hickory smoked baby back ribs, pulled pork Sandwich and the mozzarella fingers. It was all great and homely and reasonably cheap, including a great view of the Oxelösund harbor. It was excellent and we left full and very happy.

In the old sailor's tavern we serve delicious homemade food and delicious pastries. You can reach the tavern both by land and by sea when the boat place for our guests is available next to the pub. We also offer solutions for day conferences, lunch and dinner orders, catering and ordering homemade. In our neighboring houses Kristineberg is space for groups up to 22 people, Oxelo Krog is fully licenced , and in addition to serving arranged including midsummer celebration, Seabuffe, music evenings and Christmas tables. On the Terrace there are 100 seats and those filled quickly during hot summer times.

This is located in historic old town of Oxelösund. It is interesting because you see the very old historic marine life, buildings and small port and the cafeteria surrounded by old style historic buildings with an old dans place. It is built on a mountain that give a good view over the place. Not for people that have limited capacities in moving.

Ate at this restaurant with my children. The tapas are very nice and the children and I loved every bit of it especially the ice creams at the end, but the best bit of the restaurant was the staff who made us feel extremely welcome without being overly intrusive. I suspect this restaurant will become a mandatory stop by before flying through Skavsta in the future!

This place is great especially during summer when you can sit outside by the water. Their food is just delicious (majority of our 7 people party though so). One minus comes from service: it was very nice but so slow. I think they were understaffed and in addition our waiter must've been working his first day.
Nevertheless, I'll most likely go back the next time in Nyköping.

We don't often go out eating nearby home but sometimes we visit Restaurang Lång. Nice Chines/Asian food in Swedish style. Good service. We more often go there and buy a couple of Take away-boxes which is and enjoy them at home.

Located at the Baltic Sea end of one of the East Gotland archipelagos this restaurant was a real find for a family day trip. Quite quaint surroundings in a wooden building by the marina, with views out to sea. Usual comprehensive Swedish lunch, bread, a good salad table, a main course, tea/coffee & biscuits. Our main courses were 2 Lamb steaks (2 medium/rare steaks in sauce with dauphinois potatoes), a white fish fillet in breadcrumbs and roasted char with shrimps in hollandaise sauce. The Lamb was SEK 229 (GBP 20.80), the fish main courses SEK 199 (GBP 18.10). A 187ml glass of wine was SEK 59 (GBP 5.40) and a 600ml beer was SEK 55 (GBP 5). The food was excellent, and we all enjoyed what we had.
