The restaurant has a nice ambiance: is spacious and elegant without being too elegant...I had a salad and my colleagues had pork and liver. We all enjoyed the food and the wine! The Deserts are great, too! All in all, this place is absolutely worth a visit while you're in Vaasa.

Gustav Wasa - fine dining & gastropub

Welcome to our ambient cellar to enjoy good food, wine and Finnish craft beers. In our century old bank building we prepare Tasting Menus and Gastropub food with local ingredients and a lot of passion. The restaurant consists of a Fine Dining area and a Gastropub. On both sides we serve an la carte menu. In addition to this the fine dining is dedicated to our "GW7 Tasting Menu", a seven course tasting menu bound to tickle your taste buds, along with a wine pairing for the menu. In the Gastropub you can enjoy beers and ciders from small Breweries in Finland alongside a gastropub menu. We also offer cooking classes for groups in our Kitchen Studio where you can spend an unforgettable evening cooking with Ostrobothnia's top chefs. As most Finns, we also have a sauna on the premises, which can be booked for the evening.

Basically the first restaurant we bumped into when walking around Vaasa. The food was excellent, especially the reindeer steak. Not that impressed with the service as they didn't manage to deliver the main course and side dishes at the same time. Portions are rather small. Fairly expensive as we paid 160+€ for 3 starters and main courses, no aperitifs or wine, just soft drinks

I have been living in Finland for many years, and being an Italian I'm really picky with the food. Finally I found here a pizza that can be called like that. By far this is the best pizza in Finland!

This is a great resurant. Yes it´s on the pricy side but it´s seriously not epensive. You want something a bit extra then this is a good place to get it. I´m guessing Seating space might be limiting some so book, do book.

I had duck and I loved it. This was my favorite meal during my one week stay in Vaasa. They had good wine too and the service was excellent. The deco was a bit burgundian. The waiters spoke English fluently. I hope to come back again.

Magokoro

Magokoro is always incredibly occupied and popular and getting a table may require waiting outside. But the waiting will be worth it, the sushi here is incredible and you will regret you didn't order more. The vietnamese service is very charming and fast. They offer a wonderful variety of different kind sushis and other asian meals you can taste the freshness in everything they offer. If it wasn't so difficult to get a table here, this would be ones of the best places to go for a light lunch.

Lind's Kok

Reviewed By Mars66 - Espoo, Finland

I had never eaten in a greenhouse before, therefore had high expectations.
The place was really cute and all what was growing there, was then also used for the different salads and desserts.
I found the garlic strawberries mind-blowing and had to check the recipe afterwards.
The ribs were also tasty and the salads, too.
Though I like strange combinations, the tomato panna cotta was the only dish, I disliked.
It literally felt like eating panna cotta plus tomato. Fun idea though and some might like it!
I definitely recommend this place!
