We were a little surprised at the venue after Reading the reviews, it’s above a shop and essentially is the owners home.
Only about 8 - 10 tables, single toilet accessed alongside kitchen.
That being said, nothing wrong with the food, owner was very chatty, it was quick and satisfied our hunger.
Very informal and not much of a view.

A lovely restaurant, having an old world charm from the outside and a nice warm place when you enter the eatery. a helpful and hospitable staff who knows its menu well. the menu is well curated and food is awesome, authentic Thai food with the authentic aroma, and flavors. loved the tangy soup and the prawn dish, and the flat noodles and our mint ice tea. actually we loved each dish we ordered.
by far the best thai food we had on our trip to Colombo

Great ambiance with live music. Excellent service and highly attentive staff.
But....food is not what I expected. Have been twice, as I loved the atmosphere but didn't see any improvements.
Starters are fine. Bread is nice- they serve Gluten Free bread too- rare for Colombo.
Steaks- overcooked for medium rare, and the texture was hard like rubber.
They also had about 30% fat which was not edible.

We were visiting friends in Colombo who suggested we dine at Tintagel the restaurant in the Tintagel Hotel housed in the former Prime Minister's house in Colombo. The setting is stunning and the service a definite notch above average for Sri Lanka (which is to say it's average for the more developed parts of the world). The food was well prepared, but the kitchen, as seems to be the rule, even in very high end spots owned and run by Sri Lankans, was painfully slow. Nonetheless, I would recommend this place as one of the best in Colombo I have visited. They, as could virtually every place we dined in Sri Lanka with the exception of a country spot where we had a buffet, need a lot of work on providing efficient and timely service!

Wow that’s a great place. ☺ small place but 5 star service and taste. cool place. Friendly service. I ordered a grilled chicken burger meal. Actually it's really worth and the taste is so good too. We could choose any beverage for our meal and it’s great. I’m not happy about the parking area. I’m recommending that place for anyone. Thanks

The whole outdoor eating experience is complemented by fans and cool air. The tables are very private for large and small parties. The service is excellent and our waiter Chaminda was both helpful and knowledgeable. The food was excellent and the whole evening was memorable.

Wow. What a place for a meal. Came for lunch and couldn't even finish 2/3ds of the meal. It was well presented and delicious. Thank heaven for take out left overs. Plan on coming back for the beautiful cheesecake I was too full to try

Harpos in Nugegoda is located conveniently at Stanley Thilakaratne Mawatha and parking on a Sunday afternoon was not at all difficult. We normally order Delivery from here and this was one of the rare occasions we dropped in. Pleasant upbeat instrumental music and a friendly 'hello' from the staff and an interesting menu greeeted i!
I was a bit disappointed to hear that the vegetarian risotto with beetroot purée was not available. So,I chose spaghetti tossed in olive with tomatoes, garlic and chilies. It proved to be exactly what my stomach needed though I didn't know it before! The spaghetti was perfectly cooked al Dente and the olive oil garlic, chilies and tomatoes coated them nicely!
My husband and I shared a Caesar salad. That too was excellent!
As their main, my husband and son ordered pepperoni pizzas as usual and they enjoyed it very much!
The staff there was very attentive. When one saw that I was struggling to wrap my spaghetti around the fork with the help of a knife, he immediately brought me a spoon- even without my having to ask for it! They kept clearing the used plates etc away very quickly. They were excellent!
I would have liked Harpos and other restaurants and fast food places to not serve water in plastic bottles though. If they serve filtered water and charge a small amount for that, I will be very happy!

I absolutely love their wood fired pizzas. The taste is amazing as they use the best ingredients. I love the fact their pizzas are full of fresh basil and if you ask for extra they give some in a little bag so you can add more if necessary..My personal favourites are all meat, 4 cheese and the chicken pizza.
