Pie's On Pizzeria

We are a mom & pop style pizzeria located in beautiful, historic Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. We are family owned and operated since 1992. We are located at 601 Front Street, on the corners of Front & Pine Streets, across from the Pine Street Bridge & Catty Mart Gas Station at the light. All of our food is made with the finest and freshest ingredients possible and all items are made to order. We slice our own meats and cheeses, and vegetables daily. Our dough is made fresh daily, rolled and tossed by hand the old-fashioned way.

I've been a customer at Pies On for 17 years now, never had a bad meal yet.The atmosphere is always good every time not to mention always clean, comfortable and the service is always friendly and the order is always right whether taking out or eating in.The owner John is one of the best people you'll ever meet, not only does he give 100% into his business (and he does everything, register, cooks, delivers if needs to etc) but this is a guy who opened up his restaurant on Thanksgiving Day to serve free Thanksgiving dinner out of his own pocket to people in need and many came including a news crew which I'm not sure he wanted there anyway(only because he didn't consider it to be about him)If you are looking for a good experience and a family friendly environment I would highly recommend Pies On Pizzeria..homemade pierogies are to die for and go great with the cheese steaks!!!Everything on the menu is good, give it a try I'll bet you won't be disappointed...say Hi to Kelsey to,friendliest girl you'll ever meet...Kevin K

We have been here many times and it's always good! All of the sandwiches are made with Boars head meats and the burgers are very good too. Some of our favorites for lunch are the pot roast sandwich and the tuna salad. Try the red...MoreHi Kathy, Thank you for your excellent review and recommendations. We visited in May 2017 from the UK and went here with friend from the local area. We were greeted by very very friendly staff who offered us samples of the ice cream before we made a purchase. The service was excellent and we decided to eat in. The choice is amazing and the food quality is excellent. The portion size is just massive so be prepared to eat if you order anything above a small portion. We cant fault this eatery and it is definitely well worth a visit if you are in the area. A very good experience and I would highly recommend eating here, we will be back for sure if we are back in the area. Thank you.

Apparently this place has been open for over 5 years but we just discovered it a few months ago.
What's not to like about this place? They roast their own coffee beans and the coffee is delicious. I definitely recommend trying one of their "pour over" coffees. They grind the beans then pour the hot water over the coffee in a drip filter and it goes right into the cup. Sooo good.
The place is delightful as well. Lots of little games and even musical instruments there if you want to play them.
The only thing I would recommend is maybe a few breakfast food items. They have an assortment of baked goods, but I'd really like to see some egg wraps or sandwiches.

We came to the Thai Diner on a Sunday night looking for authentic Thai food, and we were not disappointed! Friendly service, and expansive menu and delicious food with the perfect amount of spice made our meal amazing. We highly recommend the Udon Basil and Thai Diner Special. I ordered Thai Hot, and the heat was exactly what I expected and hoped for... high, warm spice without being unbearable. My husband ordered very spicy and he said it was also spot on. We feel we've found a hidden gem here, and we look forward to our next visit!

I love the pizza here. The Sicilian is fantastic, as well as the Grandma pizza. Everything on their menu that I have had was excellent. They are fast, courteous. Steak sandwiches are HUGE. One complaint - they put pickles on their salad, so if you don't like pickles, be sure to tell them in advance.

A friend had recommended this restaurant for a night out ......good food, great prices, and cozy atmosphere.

She was right! We visited Samuel Owens at 7 PM on a Friday night.......and we got the last available table. Just a few minutes after we were seated, additional patrons arrived and the line for waiting for a table started. We have to admit, though, that table turnover was quick & effortless. As soon as diners finished their meals and left their table, staff members were cleaning up & re-setting the table ASAP. Great teamwork!!!!!

Our server was extremely friendly.....not surprising to us. It was obvious that most of the diners that night were "regulars". Everyone seemed to know each other; some staff members knew what drinks the customer wanted even before they were ordered!

We started our dinner with drinks. The glass of wine & bottle of beer were some of the lowest-priced that we have found in restaurants for a very long time.

After a few questions about menu items, my spouse ordered a cup of Beef Vegetable Soup, one of the three soups that were featured for the day. It was chockfull of vegetables and was quite tasty. Definitely a large portion for the price he paid for it!

We both decided to try the Jumbo Stuffed Hamburgers. They were stuffed with chopped onions & mushrooms and were good. No, they were not "jumbo" as listed on the menu nor were they "gourmet" burgers....but the burgers were great-tasting and, again, very reasonably priced.

The one downside of Samuel Owens is the availability of parking. It's not good! I'm sure that the Giant, just up the street from Samuel Owens, serves as a parking lot for Samuel Owens' customers too. There are just so few off-street parking spaces in the area! Don't let that keep you away from this restaurant, though.
