Neum (Serbo-Croatian pronunciation: [nɛ̌um], Cyrillic: Неум) is the only town to be situated along Bosnia and Herzegovina's 20 km (12 mi) of coastline, making it the country's only access to the Adriatic Sea. In 2009 the municipal (općina) population was 4,605 and in 1991 the population of the town proper was 4,268.

We stopped at Boanca restaurant in Neum as we wanted to sample Bosnian food for lunch; had a great meal.
The outsitde Seating overlooks the Adriatic and is very pleasant. Our waiter was prompt, friendly and couteous........we had an appetizer followed by a meal of Bosnian meatballs. The portion (with french fries) was very generous.
We left feeling very happy that we chose this restaurant and would happily return.

This restaurant is set in an old train station. The meal of freshly roasted meats and potatoes, prepared by a traditional barbecue in a sealed fashion had to be ordered a couple of hours in advance of our arrival. To begin, we were served fresh hot fried breads with four local cheeses, one of which was made from that morning's milk. Also there was a Dalmatian ham and a smoked bacon. Local olives complemented the meal, and there was a very unusual and refined lentil soup with local olive oil to begin. There was no menu, but we did need to decide whether to have lamb or veal when we ordered the meal. So we had both. A very nice red wine was perfect to accompany this feast, and the kindest gentleman provided impeccable service.

Traveling from Korcula to Hvar our bus stopped here for a bathroom break and a quick snack. It was fine for both. From the parking lot you can get a reasonable view of Neum and the sea. Travelers going from southern Croatia to northern Croatia need to make a ten minute drive through Bosnia-Herzegovina. This is the small section of B-H that has ocean frontage.

Reminds me of a Diner. The guy is just like a Greek Diner owner in Jersey. Dry sense of humor. Extensive menu.

We stayed in Hotel Porat 3 days and all of the meals we took in hotel restaurant. On our opinion restaurant serves perfect meals (everything we tried was fresh and incredibly tasty) and offer good wine and beer, tasty ice cream - and for very acceptable prices (cheaper than in Croatia).
I can highly recommend trying ousters (you should order them in advance) and fish plates. Also mussels with white vine and garlic sauce was the best I've ever tried.
The restaurant itself is right next to the beach with green covered Terrace and beautiful sea view, but if you go the main road Split-Dubrovniki, you can stop at the Hotel Porat parking on the main road and climb down the stairs to the restaurant.

We took a fish Orada with fish soup as starter, everything was prepared well and tasty. Prices are more then acceptable, house white wine was excellent.

We visited this Restaurant whilst in the area.we enjoyed a nice meal served by friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is part of the hotel Orka, Nice view of the harbour with outside Seating.
