KB is a small family run brew house serving german traditional food. It's a limited menu, Weiner schnitzel, pork knuckle the size of a bowling ball, sauerkraut which they call Kraut salad and the ubiquitous german sausages. Michelin star, forget it, but that is not why you go here. Great beer, tables shared with strangers and congenial hosts run off their feet. No problems, have another beer and enjoy the best pub in town

I was on a cycling tour and this was the hotel was very accommodating to cyclist! The restaurant and Frühstuckzimmer were very good! They had their own brewery and the beers were very good. A locked garage was provided for overnight storage of bicycles. The room was not plush, but very comfortable. And the location was very convenient to the sights in Murnau!

Nicely situated under the Kulturezentrum/tourist info and overlooking park.
Ate an evening meal there with my wife.
Good service.
My wife (a veggie) had a couple of choices and went for veggie crepes in a cheese sauce which she says was pretty nice though the aubergine was not quite cooked enough.
I went for schnizel Wiener Art and chips, The fries were pretty standard. It was a good hand made veal schnitzel, though I thought a touch too much fry oil remained on the outside.
So certainly no big problem to report on this evidence, on the other hand not super special.

We had lunch at the Seerestaurant Alpenblick in Uffing near Murnau. The restaurant is located right on the shore of the Staffelsee and the view onto the lake and the Alps is fantastic. This restaurant is very busy. Since we arrived early, we were able to have a table at the Terrace with view onto the water.
We had Wiener Schnitzel with potatoes and salad. The food was great and very tasty. Service was ok.

That service has slipped from out previous visits. Kroenner is always crowded it because has such great offerings and the prices are reasonable. That crowding is at the heart of the problem. There are not enough servers. Twice, on this trip, I had to run the waitress down at the far end of the cafe. Never once did I see inefficiency in her actions, she was just overwhelmed. The bad service is management's fault! When they are not there, they cannot see the problem. The baked goods and beverages are still among the best I have had anywhere in the world. If they can make such wonderful offerings, correcting the service problem should be easy.

This is a must restaurant go to restaurant for italian food in Murnau.
We arrived in a convoy of eight porsches for a gathering of 16 people and the restaurant was already full. So a good sign for a good night. We were not let down. Fantastic service Fantastic food. Fantastic ambience and very attentive service. I highly recommend this hotel for a great night.

We had dinner here last night...reasonable prices, the friendliest waiters (might have told me he loved me ... but that was due to the language barrier between his Italian and my Philly accent), and yummy food. The pizza crust might have been a tad undercooked, but our prusuccito and cheese pizza was yummy anyway. Good bread, drinks, and a tasty salad completed the meal. Though they have other entrees, we can speak only from what we experienced...so if you want a great selection of pizzas and salads, and friendly service, this is the place.

The food was great. The best burger I have had in Munich area in the last 5 years. The staff were super, nice and efficient. The location direct on the beach/lake cannot be beaten. The setup is fantastically creative and innovative. No complaints at all!

Having a birthday dinner here was one of the highlights of the occasion. Elegant ambiance and fantastic views from the Terrace, unobtrusive service and small touches like silverware render it a very special place. Lamb and duck were delicious so were fish tartar and amuse-bouche. Menu now offers vegetarian dishes. We ate there several times during our stay at Alpenhof Murnau and were invariably impressed with the quality and level of cuisine.
