We were staying over the road at the dreadful win unity and were so happy to find pleasant island. A lovely little walk. Friendly and helpful staff. A good range of food and all tasty!

In the style of a 60s coffee bar this quite modern cafe for Myanmar serves good, cheap fresh fruit juices and has a good well priced food menu for the evening. It also has a wide selection of buns, cakes and pastries. The staff are charming and it is centrally situated in town.

A restaurant on the guide route. I didn't have a problem with that as throughout my Myanmar adventure guides (and locals) pointed us toward restaurants which had a good reputation for using sanitary food handling practices. Fine by me and I didn't get ill once and I'll try anything set in front of me. It was really not that much more expensive than other places - if you factor in that Monywas is a huge agro-city center and not really a tourist destination. Anyway my partner and I split a huge plate of cashew chicken, were given extra plates of rice, and sweet watermelon for dessert. Was enough for a light lunch for two no problem. Wow we dropped maybe 10000 Kyat with cokes or about $7 USD. Very friendly local servers - a little english spoken but once outside the menu and pleasantries, well, I'm glad I learned some Burmese. Not many tourist places in this town and after a long day's drive from Bagan via the Po Win Caves this place was just fine, all things considered and with expectations intact.

Very good place to eat typical Myanmar cooking! People are very welcoming, speak English and French, and always smily! We had diner there 2 consecutive nights without any "trouble"! Highly recommended for tourists who want to avoid international hotel restaurant!

I travel to Monywa a lot for work and I've tried out many restaurants but somehow I always come back to this place. It's more a beer station than a restaurant but they serve the best Thai chicken salad I've ever had!!! Full of flavor (careful! Very spicy). BBQ is good here too but not much choice. Tuborg beer for 800 Ks per glass.
Las Vegas is about 10-15 minutes walk from Win Unity Hotel. If you leave the hotel to the left it's a few minutes walk on the main road.
I've been there quite a few times now but never saw any foreigners around, so don't expect the staff to speak much English :)

Terrible customer service received when making complaint about poor food at restaurant. Ordered bruschetta and received 6 tiny pieces of garlic bread topped with some kind of tinned tomato paste, a couple of olive slices, lemongrass, and melted cheese. I ate the first slice, though it was horrible, wondered whether I could be bothered to return it, had half the second slice and decided that there was no way I could bring myself to finish the remaining 4.5 slices. Tried to explain to waiter why it was bad and that I wanted to cancel order - he didn't understand, Called a more senior member of staff. Explained to her why I wished to cancel the order. She seemed to understand but reluctant to do anything. Finished eating my other dish (a decent Myanmar chicken salad) and ordered bill. Bruschetta still on bill. Restaurant manager called. Told me I had to pay. Refused to pay. Hotel manager then called. Waited several minutes for arrival. Asked why I didn't complain immediately, made out as though I had eaten the whole dish. Was told "lots of our customers complain after they have eaten everything". Eventually grudgingly told I did not have to pay for disgusting non-bruschetta. I doubt the hotel cares as it apparently has a monopoly on tour groups, being the only half way decent place in town, but service is POOR POOR POOR. Stay here if you must, but don't eat the godawful European food in the restaurant.

Sky View Restaurant serves only the finest and freshly prepared cuisine ( differenty styles of traditional cuisine, seafood, thai, chinese ). You may get awesome taste which you couldn't find other places in the town. We strongly recommend to visit our place to taste our unique menu.

It locates in good place, not on the busy road, adequate parking place, foods also fine but some does not match to local travellers. Price are bit high compare to other ones but good for hang out with small group.Thanks for your feedback. We are trying our best service to our customer and will take care of each customer review. This is the most delicious one among entire Monywa，and all my crews love it so much. Save money on going to the restaurant, where you only get a few toppings, when you can have it all, so stack on whatever you see at the grocery store for hot pot night.
