This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel. It was absolutely outstanding. The service was excellent, and super friendly. The food is exceptional. My husband had wonderful scallop carpaccio, followed by perfect steak. I had the best spring rolls, followed by Oriental prawn noodles, that I've ever eaten in Europe, definitely worth a detour just for that. We passed on the excellent selection of cheese on the advice of our taxi driver, who'd told us to "save room for the pudding". He was right, a huge choice of luscious desserts to suit every palate. The bill for two, with local wine, very reasonable. I look forward to a return visit.

This restaurant was not far from our hotel, and offered a set meal that didn’t seem too ‘adventurous’ for our rather unsophisticated palettes, so we gave it a go.
We each chose the 25 Euro set meal, which began with a pink amuse bouche that we decided was made predominantly from beetroot (although we were not able to confirm this). We than had a starter of green beans in mayonnaise with goat cheese and slithers of ham (which made us both agree we hate goat’s cheese!).
For our mains, my OH had a mixed grill of lamb chop, kidney and steak and I had ham. Both meals came with potatoes, a mini quiche, a slice of sweet potato (we think) and a sauce of some description.
For dessert we had one Cointreau sorbet with a slice of gingerbread cake, and one chocolate tart with raspberry base.
All the food (apart from the goat’s cheese) was just delicious. Only a little English was spoken by the waitress, although she tried hard to answer our questions. In return, we only have a smattering of tourist French and the services of Google. But thankfully, with the help of another French customer who could speak rather better English, we got by and managed to understand the choice of desserts.
The total, with one beer and one coke, came to 58 Euros, which we thought was excellent for the meal that we had enjoyed. The restaurant has a very nice rustic feel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Highly recommended.

We arrived late, but we're still made to feel very welcome and not rushed. The waiter spoke excellent English and was very at attentive, friendly and professional. We had the €22 Euro set meal.
The starters were distinctly average, but the mains were delicious. Nicely cooked steak and salmon.
Good choice of Deserts and great local wine! Not at all expensive for what you get and we would recommend.

After being turned away by a stern waitress from another nearby restaurant telling us it was “complet” meaning no more lunch meals would be served that day, my husband walked around Place Foch (the old center of Millau) to stumble upon this very, very cute tea room. Right after we went in, we realized we were very lucky to be turned away from the other restaurant. Only one main meal was available for all customers, but we were ready to take a chance. A husband and wife team run the tea room which provides a menu of traditional food which the day we there included an appetizer of lentil soup followed by a full plate sectioned off with French quiche, salad and lunch and dessert tartes (for 10 Euros). Each section of the entire plate was described to us (in French) in detail by the wife who waited on us. We also had fresh bread, and my husband had a glass of white wine which was about 2 Euros (not bad!). The entire meal was filling and a great value. Of course, if you want to have just a cup of tea or coffee and a pastry, there are plenty to enjoy. We just had the lunch menu.

By chance, we chose to eat lunch at Cafetino in Millau. We selected the formule dolce from the menu, which it said included a tostini Sandwich, side salad, soft drink and desert. When the generously portioned meal arrived there was also a bowl of soup - all for 14.50€. We were very pleased with the quality of the food and also the pleasant service. We would be happy to eat lunch there again.

Reading the other reviews I initially thought I must have a different restaurant. Yes, it is very busy and potentially a long wait for food. However, looking at all the empty seats at the tables of other restaurants in the square I concluded that the Cote Marche must be busy because of its popularity especially with local clientele. The waitress suggested we come back in 20 minutes until a table was available. When ready the service was excellent despite our limited French and their limited English. We were made to feel welcome and they were friendly and attentive in making sure we had everything we needed and understood the menu options. The food was exceptionally good and well presented and great value. There are specials each day and we had a steak, french fries with salad for 12.50 Euro. The presentation was very nice and the food delicious. For the cost (relative to Fracne prices) the food was outstanding. Overall it was a relaxing meal in a beautiful square. It was the best restaurant experience of our three week trip through France.

Nice service in the friendly asian style.
The food was excellent, well prepared.
The restaurant is unspectacular but in a sympathic manner. You go there because you like asian food and you get it - to an affordable price.
I we are in Millau the next time - we will be there again.
