This is a unique place out in the country with a beautiful setting. The anti-Clinton signs as you pull in are a little crude but we were there because of the food, not the politics. The salad bar is fantastic and we should have stopped there. Instead we ordered the prime rib rare, which was well done and chewy, and the ribs, which were also chewy. The quantities were extra large and it soon became obvious that quantity is more important than quality at this restaurant. If we return, which is unlikely, we'll stick with the salad bar. They also don't sell any wine or beer or alcohol.

Very clean DQ. Friendly service. We stopped on way home for ice cream cones. Have a special affinity for vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate. It was just the right treat for a long ride home.

I just want to say that this place is amazing!! We live over 100 miles away, and found this on a top 10 best restaurants list. We flew into the local airport, but there wasn't anyone at the airport nor a courtesy car there. So, the restaurant owner comes and picks us up and takes us to the restaurant, and has lunch with us at our table! The food was amazing! Their catfish filets were some of the best I've ever had, and included homemade cocktail sauce! Had sides of spinach, green beans, and roasted veggies, all excellent! Just blown away with the customer service we received from the owner and the staff! I will be back!!

Looking for a local place while traveling through the area. Looked good from outside and parking lot full. I was very disappointed. I ordered the Friday special which was fried catfish, green beans, slaw, and potato salad. The slaw was ok but was warm like it had been sitting out. The beans were just heated canned green beans. The potato salad was bitter. The catfish strips were "chewy", not crispy like the grease was not hot enough. The chocolate cake for dessert was excellent. I wish the meal was the same. You know, the people weren't friendly either. Sometimes that can make up for other things. Might just keep driving next time.

This is a restaurant.... clean it. The men's restroom was terrible. This level of filth didn't just happen today. I was shocked. If the kitchen looks half as bad as the men's room, the health dept needs to check things closely. I will not be back.

This place fills up quickly. We went on a Friday night and had their buffet. Everything was fresh and nicely cooked. All the choices had excellent flavor. The service could not have been better. The dining room is small so not many can be served at once (go early). We were pleasantly surprised by the buffet on a Friday night (we did not expect a buffet). This small little restaurant is worth a try for very good Mexican food. I judge a Mexican buffet based on the different flavored dishes (rather than all of them looking different but tasting the same). This one passed the test. Every dish on the buffet looked and tasted differently. There were plenty of selections. Go and enjoy a good Mexican meal close to home!

I frequent this place at least once a month as I travel for work and I've never been disappointed by the service, nor the cleanliness of the place. Try the Multi Grain Flat Bread toasted with tuna salad, spinach, cukes, black olives, tomatoes, salt/pepper seasoning with pepper jack. . . . it will not disappoint.

Our experience was of a clean, efficient McDonalds. Our Southwest salads were brought to us, and were delicious. There are even touch screens away from the desk where you can place orders and pay. Lots of different types of seating, if that's important to you. More up to date than the larger town we live near.

Buffet was not huge but everything we tried was excellent. Clean and friendly. Will definitely be back anytime we are in area.

Great food. We were going through McRae and didn’t want the typical fast food. So we found this little gem. We had the wicked burger, pimento and cheese, BBQ sandwich, Brunswick stew, and the sidewinder fries. The wicked was large enough to half - which is what we did. The pimento and cheese is served on Texas toast and is possibly the best I’ve had. It has a little kick to it. Brunswick stew was good. And the BBQ had a great flavor. We had the red vinegar based sauce. They offer a yellow mustard sauce also. This is a small establishment. Nothing fancy and it doesn’t need to be. I don’t go to a restaurant because it’s fancy. I would definitely recommend this eatery and if I’m back in McRae, I’ll eat there again. Give them a try.
