During our short stay in Sopron, we tested the top restaurants here: this steakhouse won't disappoint you (maybe just a bit). Service, pries and the atmosphere are all good, however the steaks we tested were not excellent: maybe this is a one-off glitch, but instead of medium, all 3 were slightly over-cooked. In case of steaks, even seconds count, and these steaks were not perfect, sorry. You may find other food as well, but most probably you visit a steakhouse for the variety of steaks. Wine-list is OK, you can find a good match with steaks.

ein spanier im ort, wie verlockend. das team ist gewiss bemüht, jedoch weder das lokal, noch die speisen bringen den gast auf spanische gedanken. es ist hier keinesfalls schlecht, vielleicht sind die erwartungen des gastes zu hoch. nettes kleines lokal mit bemühter küche.

Four of us had a relaxed lunch at this establishment on a Saturday. The food is of highest quality, beautifully presented and with a fair price. Marvelous and a cozy place with great and polite staff. Typical for Greeks, the can of water is not missing from the table. The food is great! We took a plate for two, and till I took my camera it was already half empty. Outside a nice Terrace placed on sand so you can get even a beach feeling. In the summer period you can get a really nice fruit lemonade too. Only the wine of the house is better! Prices are very correct, really the best restaurant in the region!

We had a very pleasant lunch with very friendly service. We ate in the courtyard on a windy day but it was well sheltered. The inside was very neat and clean, although I did not look at the larger dining area that was also there.
The food for four of us was extremely good and the Deserts particularly memorable.

Wonderful scenic view at the Terrace, overlooking the landscape from Hohe Wand to Schneeberg. Solid interior inside, a bit run of the mill, which does not create a stylish or authentic atmosphere. The menu spans pretty wide from regional kitchen to the north of Italy. The wine list is fine, but can't always compliment the menu spectrum.
Today's dishes left some mixed feelings, all soups were very good and creative, both the cordon-bleu and the pikeperch were good, but the chicken-breast was lacking distinctive taste and the risotto, that came with the chicken, was overcooked. The service was quick and friendly, very professional when we provided feedback on the risotto.
The expectation of a 1* rated Gault Millau and Falstaff restaurant wasn't entirely met in the categories of creativity, finesse and execution.

In Mattersburg gibts sogut wie nichts wo man auf dauer gut essen kann. Das Mittagsbüfet besteht hier auch nur aus Fleisch bzw Schweinefleisch.
Man wird irgendwie satt dank Glutamat.
Ist eben eine alternativen zu den vielen Mittelklasse lokalen.

There is a lot of poor customer service in this part of Austria but zweieck is 'the diamond in the rough'. Waiting staff with a smile, top food and a relatively relaxed setting. Parking could be better but hey ho, you can't win 'em all. If I had to recommend a restaurant in Wiener Neustadt, this is it - well done zweieck, keep up the good work - more of the same please.
